though to be fair, only one was an an actual 'update' 95% of the updates they came out with just fixed minor bugs and added new supply drop only weapons zombie chronicles was really nice but that was it, they added some black ops 1 maps through some other dlc but you could only get that on ps4 if you digitally preordered bo4, idk if they've changed that at all I mean shit, theres been a huge bug where you cant even finish the gorod krovi easter egg (crashes on cutscene) for months, and unless they patched it very recently, its still not fixed, but they made sure to bring out a limited edition supply drop weapon :^)
I used to enjoy zombies back in the day of CoD:WaW. Is it worth getting Blops 3 with the Zombie Chronicles expansion if you just wanna play zombies? I watched a video of Nacht der Untoten in Blops 3 though and it looked quite unfamiliar though.
It would help to do fixed spawns, but then you have people who apparently don't know how to play and can't stop a stray coming in for spawn kills 2+ to 1
I mean yea, zombie chronicles is a good way of getting back into it, since it has most of the classic waw maps+a few other hits nacht is exactly the same as waw outside of the zombie hit system and gobblegums (and weapons) same with asylum and swamp
Jesus Christ the hit box for the snipers is the size of a truck. I've had multiple "potg" where it was a sniper aiming a full inch away from someone's head on their screen and getting a headshot. Other than that I really enjoy the game. I'd like a "not special equipment" mode because some of them are a little too strong, but over all its pretty fun. Havent touched Blackout yet.
this game is fun as fuck, and im really having a good time playing some brainless cod again with my friends, but holy fuck there is an absolute laundry list of issues they need to fix, it's insane this game is the way it is when so much money is in it. just tonight i've straight up crashed to desktop 4 times, that's not counting the additional 2 times that i had to restart due to performance decay from the memory leak that plagues this game. combined with poor optimization and other random bugs (getting kicked from my party every other game, game randomly choosing maps other than the one that was voted in, classes being unselectable, camo/emblem editor being unstable as fuck, camo selection bugging out all the time, and emblem/calling cards/ranks not being correct in the lobby. not even mentioning the game breaking bugs/exploits that let you stack perks) i wonder how this game even made it to launch, especially after the beta was so good? it feels like as time goes on the game just gets buggier! in addition, there are a shitload of gameplay/non-bug related changes they should make... progress on the battlepass is too slow, gun/op balance is insanely lopsided, despite 60hz hit detection is still the worst ive seen in years, and lag compensation is also garbage. also: spawns. im really enjoying myself but there are a lot of things that just leave me scratching my head by the way i dont know if it has already been posted here but if you are trying to get the hard stop iii challenge for your precision challenge mastery, STOP. it is bugged and it will always 100% of the time reset at 250/300 kills. i found this out the hard way. twice.
It's not the hitbox, it's just the way the netcode works. The POTG hit the shot perfectly on their screen, but due to ping, the player had already moved serverside by the time the server knows the shot hit. The server doesn't know how the game looked on the POTG's screen, so it has to show its own recollection of events, which shows the difference between the POTG player and the server itself. If people have stupidly high pings, they'll end up hitting targets even though they're "missing" by inches. The real bullshit is that this works even if the player has moved behind cover. The netcode being this lenient is part of why the gunplay feels so snappy, but it also creates most of the bullshit in the game too. If you want to abuse the netcode, never let people peek you, always peek them, as you'll have longer to shoot them than they'll have to shoot you.
So, I've been enjoying this game but one thing I just can't wrap my head around are the scorestreaks. In what way is it fun or rewarding that you can spawn a helicopter that kills the entire map for you?

Newegg has the Call of Duty Infinite Warfare Legacy Edition for PC on sale for $20 if anyone is interested. Includes the CoD:MW remaster. Note that both games multiplayers are pretty dead on PC. TDM games still pop on IW but the Steamstats for Modern Warfare Remastered are dire.
I've had my fair share of bad shit happening to me, but at least I'm not being killed by a guy aiming between me and the wall and killing me. Still some things bother me. Melee is a huge fucking crutch, and akimbo SMGs are bulshit
Today I played TDM and had a team full of akimbo SMGs and Paladin sniper rifles against me. Fuck. That.
Akimbo Saugs is definitely getting a bit out of hand. They’ve been pushing out balance updates every other day though so I’m sure they’ll adjust them soon. SMGs as a whole need to be adjusted.
I love how everyone rocks the Paladin, then misses shots, and immediately go for melee. Pisses me off a bit because people will usually shoot you once and then melee you right away. I just got the Cordite's belt fed mod. The thing's so fucking cool, but now I want to get the Outlaw's burst shot. I love the Outlaw, but its soo unreliable for steady one shots.

Also the Rampart 17 feels outclassed by basically everything since it really doesnt have any sort of advantage over other weapons. It's supposed to have the highest damage, but basically every AR kills in 4/5 shots and the Rampart 17 has the slowest rof and the highest recoil. It's a shame because I really want to like it too.
yeah they acknowledged it and its been a little better since friday but they have only said theyre working on it, we dont know if or when a fix will come

Team link makes teammates have blue silhouettes, instead of just the names above their heads when they're in your FoV. Somewhat useful in hardcore if you've got a twitchy trigger finger! Otherwise entirely useless. Thinking about it, the only remotely useful perks in this game are scavenger, engineer and lightweight. Going through the rest: Flak jacket doesn't defend enough to make a difference against cluster bombs or war machine Tac mask doesn't defend against the 9-bang, which is the only thing you'll ever be hit by Skulker would've been fun if it made you crawl fast, but atm you'll only use it to move slightly faster while crouched. Why? Cold blooded would've been good if it made you immune against targetting instead of just getting shot by the chopper a few seconds later, or an enemy in a hellstorm seeing a red outline around you anyway Gung Ho is so useless i entirely forgot it even existed. You can sprint while shooting? Cool! You still have the same delay before firing as anyone else, though, and instead of being a predictable target and running straight at the enemy, you could've jumped sideways at a higher momentum and used the perk point for something else. They've completely missed the point of why the perk was good in the previous games. Dexterity apparently makes you climb and swap weapons faster, but i forgot i took it off my LMG/rocket class after unlocking more attachments and didn't realise until i made more modifications to that class after 10~ games, so either it's a flat increase that only helps fast guns, or its completely useless. Big whoop. Ghost is occasionally good, but you need a silencer to make proper use of it, and most of the time you're gonna get fucked by spawns anyway Team link is... probably more useful than Dexterity? Dead SIlence is awesome when it works! It's a shame that it seems like the perk doesn't work half of the time, and even worse, seems to give the effect to other people instead when that happens. Might as well hope the game fucks up and gives you the effects anyway without spending the point if that's how it'll be. I guess Tracker is useful, but it requires lightweight, no armor and a gun that's fast enough to catch up to whoever you're tracking. I'd probably spend the point on this if i had to spend it on anything on this list.
i run team link on all my classes pretty much, it reveals a circle around you and your team mates so you can see enemies behind you on the mini map. so many times it has saved me.
It doesn't make you move slightly faster. It makes you move way faster. With skulker you crouch walk faster than normal walk. Only thing faster would be sprinting. It also buffs the movement speed you have while ads and crouching. So I'd say it's plenty useful. Sure it might not be that useful if you're the player who likes to sprint around the map, jump shotting around corners. It's more suited for people who like to play it a bit more slow and crouch behind cover.
Dexterity lets you jump and shoot people far more accurately so, if you're not thinking Dexterity is top tier, you're probably wrong

I still remember in MW2 when perks made the biggest difference ever. Want a stealth class? Cold Blooded plus Ninja. ABSOLUTELY UNTRACEABLE. You could even pull "All Ghillied Up" kind of stunts and literaly play dead in front of people. Scavenger was my bread and butter. It's unfathomable to me how people will run ANYTHING other than that. "BUT WHAT ABOUT QUICKSCOPES AND SLEIGHT OF HAND PRO" Fuck.That.Noob.Shit. You need the ammo more than you need fast ADS. If you're in need of ammo, its because you're killing, so... Figures you don't need Scavenger topkek omegalul (jk, but kind of not) However, the single best perk for me there was SitRep Pro. You get to see enemy explosives AND HEAR ENEMY FOOTSTEPS? HOLY FUCK. I'm sad that there isn't anything like that anymore. It seems that hearing enemies now is a very unreliable way of locating enemies even. All in all, I think perks kind of lost their power throughout cod games. You got people only using like one perk along with stim shot, which is arguably one of the best equipment slots ever, and a fully tricked out gun. Flak Jacket does work, but engineer or scavenger are WAY better. It isn't really worth the slot waste, although I do run perk 1 glutony + greed to have all of those. Should probably change it since tac mask apparently sucks ASS. Skulk is good if you want to be one of those assholes that spams adad crouched for extra evasion tactics, but other than that... Cold Blooded AND Ghost seem worthless because they've been split up and specified too much. Also nerfed. I like stealth classes a lot but they're too much work and its easier to grab a really good gun that can equip a silencer, slap on perks that aid you in however you want to play and go about it that way. I hate how they split them so much. Nobody ever used them, why did you nerf them that fucking much?! Gung-ho and dexterity seem good for something that has a low hip fire cone or that accepts a laser sight. Seems especially good with a laser sighted op mod cordite. No need to reload, no need for scavenger, just run at people shooting going REEEEEEEEEEEEE and people will probably get mad that gets so many results. Dead Silence doesn't works right?? I thought it did, but either way, nobody listens to footsteps so....... Tracker is cool but... Why bother? as for the equipment slot... The molotov is pretty fun, but not worth the specialist slot. I'd trade the equipment slot for it though. Maybe... Stim shot is REALLY good though.
Something I dont like is how you cant use certain attachments on guns. It makes it feel like you're pigeon holed into a playstyle based on what gun you pick, not on what perks and attachments you choose
I like that honestly. Makes it so you have to play a certain way with whatever gun you have to get the most out of it. With other cods, wwii especially, I ended up using pretty much the same attachments on any gun and playing the same way with all of them. That's a dumb logic in my opinion. Since it shouldn't take you more than 10 shots to kill someone, and that's being generous. So you can easily go on a 9 killstreak before you're out of ammo, and by that time you'll have had plenty of opportunities to pick up another weapon.
What, like not giving you the option of choosing a certain attachment for one gun, but giving the option for another? It's... Odd. I don't get why they did it. It doesn't really bothers me, and I guess its so that people don't make, for example, the outlaw, as powerful as a stock paladin. Other times, I just wanted to know what it would be like to use X with Y, and I can't do it because it won't let me. Which is weird. Take the titan MG. It takes full power FMJ and full power ExtMag AND its basicaly a laser beam. The hades doesn't takes those at full power, and its not as controlable as the titan. To add up to that, it has full power laser sight, despite getting an operator mod that does pretty much the same + the equivalent of a stock. Then you have the ARs. Rampart gets fully powered FMJ and high caliber, but neither the AK nor the vapenation get them. The AK doesn't gets high caliber at all, and the vapr doesn't even gets quickdraw. It gets a fully powered stock that allows you to mantle while ADSing... Why? The Koshka gets full power laser sight... WHY? The MX9 gets high caliber only good for headshots... The Strife gets full power FMJ AND operator mod is a bayonet... I don't get it. At all.
