Is it bad if I was expecting the NES game stuff to be a completely broken mess?

So, with the online changes now rolled out, you can't even do a practice match with bots in Doom? (The multiplayer menu is blocked off altogether - it's not just that you can't play online, fair enough, but rather the menu is blocked off). For Rocket League, it seems that the online change means you don't connect to the servers at all (even outside of online play), so I guess you don't get the Pass items for completing offline matches presumably?

I'm willing to bet that in both those cases, Nintendo put the onus of fixing it on the developers rather than do something for themselves. Any "kinks" fixed in the coming days will be done by the original teams and any left over will be due to those teams not viewing the benefit of changing anything. Sucks.

Is Monster Hunter included in the paid online thing or does it get the fortnite treatment for being third party?

i doubt it would be, but i have to wonder if its servers are even provided by nintendo and not capcom. my only experience with nintendos was playing smash on 3DS and that was a laggy unplayable mess. meanwhile ive never had an issue with 4U and X.

I'd see this patched out in 6.0.1, since it's an exploit and not meant to really be a game sharing system for multiple users. It's pretty fucking though I guess you can also compare the system to steam's family sharing. But we all know, the amount of people that are actually a family on steam aren't actually related

i'm pretty sure fortnite only got the special treatment because it's free to play, not third party.

It's pretty ironic that a F2P game lets us use their servers for free, but games I paid full price require me to pay extra to play peer-2-peer.

I got a switch for my bday last friday. Havent played much of it but my gf has nearly beat mario odyssey and is probably gonna play zelda next.

I still can't buy the online with gold coins, i guess you have to buy it through the website instead of the console, but it says they are not available at the moment (Nintendo.it)

I just want to nip something in the bud before it is reported here. It was 'found' today that NES games seem to cause 'burn-in' damage to the screen. However, this is not burn-in. The way it's worded, online play for the nes sounds like it's doing a A/V stream. with low latency mode putting more priority on input rather than video bitrate Exact same way https://nes.party/ works, except the website is 100% javascript, so it runs like aids

Anyone else having trouble using the eShop to register for the 7-day trial? For me, after selecting the Credit Card button, the next page is all white, with only the (B) Back and (A) Confirm prompts at the bottom, which are both greyed out. It's been like this for a good fifteen minutes each time I try.
