this holiday we will see who can limit stock the most
Launch trailers being released 1 month before release happens frequently. Not a naming accident.
Can't wait for N64 games to get locked to a tiny, understocked plastic box just like NES and SNES games.
and it cost $150
I had an argument with a sibling and a sister-in-law about Nintendo's online service. They seem to be under the impression that the people who criticize it are a bunch of entitled butthurt manbabies that like to "spit in the face of Nintendo". It was relatively frustrating.
Hoo boy, LM3 is using the Dark Moon aesthetic. The 3DS port of LM1 is gonna look better than this game.
Hope there's a non wagglan option for some of those
A lot of gaming communities seem to be making this their opinion as well. And Nintendo knew exactly this would happen. Anyone who says "hey maybe this isn't a good value to pay for..." is considered a no job entitled butthurt manbaby. Here are the common defenses for the services "We have to if I want to play "Insert Online game here*" "Nintendo warned us we would have to pay so you have no right to complain" "You spend more on your coffee then you do on online a month" Smash "Nintendo owes us nothing" "You are just ungrateful for all the great experiences Nintendo gives you." "Voting with my wallet means nothing because Japan likes it." Nintendo is not stupid. They knew they could do whatever they wanted with online and a vast majority of their user base would support them every step of the way and beat down anyone that isn't in 100% support of them. Why is everyone so conveniently forgetting we are now being charged for 2005 tier internet without basic internet communication that were standardized on the original xbox, cloud saves that don't work for the games that need it, and NES games that Nintendo already suckered all of you into paying for 5-10 times.

You forgot "Are you poor or something" and "People who complain are kids.". Those are the ones I see most often.

This reminds me of my biggest issue when it comes to the switch UI. Nothing feels like it has personality. Everything feels so corporate and boring.
I usually agree with you, but the minimalism is fine and looks clean. You don't need bells and whistles for menu's you're hardly in anyway. Customizable backgrounds could be cool though.
I appreciate the Switch's simplistic UI, if only because it doesn't take ten years to load like the Wii U's.
It's just Nintendo normally puts a lot of personality into their things. So it's kind of sad to see it nonexistent on the switch.
The focus on simplicity and overall speed/snappiness is what sells me. I'd rather use the Swich UI over the Xbox One UI.
I'm fine with the UI's simplicity, but I miss when the eshop had a nice tune. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8avMLHvLwRQ
Is it really? I mean it sounds like you have to log in to the game owner's account to play it anyway, so it's not really "sharing" persay. It's moreso that you can take your games with you no matter whose console you use.
So who wants to share their massive library of games with me
It's how PS4's game sharing works.
i mean... yeah. you get what you pay for? it's like a fraction of what playstation online costs. with a fraction of the features. it makes a lotta sense to me would better subscriber features be nice? sure. would it also cost me? probably. i'm pretty fine with what we get for the price.
What is it we're getting, exactly, that we haven't had for free for over a year? Do you think a tiny collection of NES games is worth a $20 annual subscription cost?
I'd pay $60 a year for dedicated servers. I was accepting of having to use P2P because it was free, but now there is just no excuse.
i mean i'm assuming they're actually going to have dedicated servers now - would be a bit fucked up if they still don't though.
they're not
then that's fucked up
It's not the price, it's the principal. Nintendo online *sucks*, but people never complained much because at least it was free. Now we'll be paying for constant disconnects, no communication with randos whatsoever, hackers having a field day and more. Splatoon 2 servers are at 12 tick iirc. That's insanity.
I'm hoping that the game collection keeps growing and they add games for more modern consoles, right now the selection feels like 60% padding and like 2-3 games that didn't age like assholes I kinda fear they'll decide to add stuff like Derby Stallion 3, Madden 94 or NBA Jam when they get to the SNES
As far as Im concerned Im paying 20 dollars a year to have the original Zelda on my Switch and maybe more zelda games later Everything else is bonuses I dont care about
As long as Mario World and Kirby Super Star comes if they do SNES I will be happy.
