The Princesses need more love in general

Nintendo should embrace this as maybe a little hint they should have more evil princesses.
I'm honestly really surprised now that Nintendo had never even toyed with the evil Princess concept before considering how prominent Princesses are in Mario.
It seems like a natural fit for a non-Bowser villain. But then again, if we're being real here, it's obvious that they don't like deviating with villains at all in the mainline games.
I was impressed that the Broodals were a thing in Odyssey and even then they were just pretty much Koopaling reskins.
Shit, why now. I just dropped a bit of dough on some other purchases. My poor, aching wallet.
Waluigi specifically happened because Nintendo told Camelot "no" to making an evil princess and they had to figure out an alternative.
Nomura wants to do a TWEWY sequel, but is looking for Final Mix to succeed.

Hi there's a official convention for Princess Bowsette next month in Japan. Nintendo was contacted and "uh no comment" was the response.

Actually that’s not quite the case. Waluigi was always planned when Camelot was designing a Tennis partner for Wario. The evil princesses idea, one of which being “Warupichi/Wapeach”, was something born during Waluigi’s development because Camelot thought it be a good idea to give Wario and Waluigi partners similar to Mario & Peach and Luigi & Daisy, but Miyamoto dismissed the idea as he didn’t want to even imagine what the two’s girlfriends could look like.

What a world where there's a cosplay content for men to cosplay as hot chicks, but not one for hot chicks to cosplay as hot chicks.
Bowsette. Where everyone treats her as the girl she is. But we don't want women cosplaying as her because Bowser is a man without the crown.. Really makes you think.
Even once you remove the tsundere waifu part and the massive tits, the lesson to be learned here is that people like Peach's design, but she has basically no personality as a character 95% of the time and people would rather slap that design onto a more appealing character.
Meanwhile, you look at Bowser and you see why that ironically translates into an entertaining female character because there's a much louder personality going on. The antagonistic but sometimes friendly relationship on top of an aggressive personality that rockets from one extreme of the emotional spectrum to the other plus having a family dynamic translates into easy shipping fuel but also makes for a potentially decent character.
If you had an actual evil Peach character who followed the criteria minus the shipping bait and sex appeal they would probably be a very popular character in their own right.

But the actual lesson learned is that people took being rejected by a cartoon princess at the end of Odyssey even worse than it initially appeared.
It's more or less two things
1: Due to her not being official you can say she's a trans icon and you wouldn't be wrong- but you could also say "it's full magic so she's just a normal girl." It appeases both sides and empowers both. Dressing up as her on both sides is a confidence thing.
2: Maybe something changed but men dressing as women is absolutely hilarious in a lot of regions and is often played up as a big joke. Some popular games even highlight these kind of events (Persona 4 being one that comes to mind.)
Either way it's win-win for them and I doubt they'll kick out any female cosplayers.
Sounds like more of a "who can do the best crossplay" event on the main stage more than "we only one crossdressing cosplayers" for the whole thing. There's going to be an absolute deluge of cosplayers roaming around for six hours, they aren't going to be overshadowed by that event.

Due to the fact that Nintendo stocks have increased due to it, at the next shareholder meeting the current president of Nintendo will have to fend off shareholders demanding to know why Bowsette isn't canon yet.
I wouldn't mind a toned down Bowsette as Bowsers ex or something, but it will just be called pandering either way.
