It's still really strange to me that there hasn't been any Super Mario Odyssey DLC. Nintendo has been sticking DLC into every one of their games lately. What makes Odyssey the exception here?

Why didn't they just use Peach? What is Nintendo's fascination with toads?

So does this mean that Peach used to be a toad, and became a human after being crowned? Does the same apply to Daisy and Rosalina? Are Mario and Luigi transformed toads?

The only reason I can think of is that the actual Peach is still kidnapped and that it would be weird to have two Peach duplicates in the same room when the actual Peach is eventually rescued. Of course, now we have Peach and a weird replication of Peach with toad genes.

My guess? knock out two characters with one voice session. They can also keep the "mario saves peach" storyline by just adding two toads. Mario 3d world had peach and blue toad. But they were saving fairies, maybe it's different. It's nintendo, who knows

The Peachette thing is really weird and will screw with lore buffs hard. I get why they did it from a gameplay perspective and with Peach already being kidnapped due to it just being a port of NSMBU, but couldn't they have just put in Daisy or something? And then when you beat the game you unlock Peach for the same abilities.

You can not stop the deepest lore.

The animal crossing game announcement was kinda limp dicked but I'm glad I know it exists. I really hope they don't fuck it up because they made huge bounds from wild world to 3ds but I also hope they add more functionality so it doesn't just feel like a port of the 3ds version.

i was happy to see a new luigis mansion, but then it just looked like more of the same of 2... 2 wasnt a bad game, but it didnt really have the charm the original had, and the lighting and shadows and shit made it not feel as dark as the original was, which set a good tone for the game. i also really liked fighting unique ghosts with their puzzles and all that, which 2 had none of. i wouldnt be surprised if its the same developer of dark moon, it looks like the same game just with better graphics. super excited for animal crossing though, can never get enough of that.

I was really on the fence about selling my Switch till they showed Luigis Mansion and Animal Crossing. Guess ill hold out. The online stuff really puts me a bad mood with Nintendo.

I'm still hoping that this hits the player count enough for them to reconsider. But since it's so cheap, that doesn't help.
