I would absolutely have Cloud have his original design rather than his edgy Dissidia design https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/finalfantasy/images/1/1a/Cloud-FFVIIArt.png/revision/latest?cb=20110227161510
Give Ganon his design from Hyrule Warriors.
I would add another slot for Mario
Actually no fuck Rayman, what this game needs is The Hurricane. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=69opC5_xmsc
Overall voice changes to be more canon -Dedede has a voice like his most recent games -Bowser has gruff english and not retarded dino noises -DK as you mentioned -Samus doesn't sound like a compressed air tank being stabbed Runner up is ditch Giga Bowser and just make him huge. I honestly never liked Giga Bowser and I dislike the fact he's stuck around instead of being something actually from the games- even if it is just appearance based. Just have Kamek sauce him up instead.
On second thought, having the newcomer be Spike from Ape Escape might be a better choice. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/146362/9861128d-bb4c-4f48-807e-f50503f5fc38/Ape_Escape_Spike_Render.png He's from a classic video game that used to be pretty popular, and he'd fit in pretty damn easily with the other characters in Smash. It's also a franchise that absolutely needs to be more relevant than it currently is.
Had a shower thought. I'd be really happy to see the Prince from Katamari show up as an assist trophy, rolling around the stage and picking up fighters that touch it.
When he shows up, the general item drop rate is increased by like 500% too, to make sure he has enough stuff to roll up.
I couldn't choose between Kyo Kusanagi from King of Fighters, Beat from JSRF, or Ranger from Quake
You don't need to ask me twice: https://s3.amazonaws.com/prod-media.gameinformer.com/styles/full/s3/2018/08/05/9e82bf11/terrybogardarika.jpg
Terry is Cool, but I think Kyo would bring more to the table in regards to gameplay a lot of Terry's moves are just Ryu-adjacent. He's got a fireball, a (charge) DP, and something of a tatsu among a few other bells and whistles. Kyo would be only our second rekka character not counting clones (marth, with roy, lucina, chrom being derivatives).
I'd like Kyo, but Terry's moves just feel like they'd match Smash's environment better. Also, Kyo is closer to Ryu than Terry is, playstyle-wise. lol https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pA0RfXvAFyY His attitude is very complimentary to a fast-paced environment and is hammy and over the top like Falcon, plus he's one of SNK's two main mascots (the other being Nakoruru).
Kyo isn't closer to ryu than terry lol, Kyo doesn't even have a fireball since before 98 last I checked Kyo also has branching rekka paths with ingrained high low mixups and followup/frame trap options, tekken-like upkicks, A dash grab like Ganon's, and a wheel kick like Terry's, all of which more than work to the smash-like pacing and make him an aggressive, fast character with strong pressure options in the king of fighters . I'd argue Kyo is a more fast paced character, considering he was conceived in a series that invented the very mechanics that inspired several of smash's mechanics that contribute to its pacing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nx1NaRp8ArM you can see all of his most iconic moveset here. I think he also got some new stuff in XIV but if yo uwere to draw Kyo's moves from anywhere, 98 is the place to be.

i used to think this too but ganondorf is actually like a really dark swamp green isn't he

I forgot how terrible Ganondorf's hairstyle was in TP
It was fine as a one time thing but having to see it for ten years is a little much.
Bowser being voiced by Kenny James.
I think hearing Bowser speak English in Smash would be really jarring, but him having that deep evil laugh from Super Mario 64 would be neat
Bowser's voice since 2005 has been fantastic, as well as one of the most recognizable voices in gaming, and it's honestly really frustrating to see him be reduced to just monster roars in Smash. He has been implied to talk since Super Mario Bros 3. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tmjO3TneeB8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dUOG6pxUbt4
I can totally see him having a human-like voice for grunts and shouts in the same way that Link and Mario do but I guess I misunderstood what people were suggesting earlier and imagined him saying whole sentences in his taunts like Falco
Was just about to post that voice pack video, definitely much better than his Smash voice. I can kinda get why he had monster roars in Melee and Brawl considering the art styles they had, but once Smash 4 started the shift to a more colorful art style he should've been given his iconic voice. DK and Diddy should get the same treatment too
what Ape Escape is a Sony exclusive and was in PSASBR It's like asking for PaRappa or Sackboy.
rerecord all pikachu lines with danny devito and add the flipnote frog as a newcomer also as for that leak question... i'd probably only leak out the predictable stuff while keeping the other stuff secret
I just hope we get some semblance of character interactions in this game, the most compelling part of crossovers to me besides the gameplay is seeing how different archetypes and personalities that would otherwise never meet interact with one another. It's a huge reason win quotes are such a compelling feature for me in fighting games, or the marvel cinematic universe. it's such a wasted opportunity to have so many all star characters in the same room and not have any of them speak a single word to one another. If codecs/guidance are gone, that's one step even further from that ideal.
Mario: Whats up gay Bowser? Bowser: For the last fucking time Mario I'm not gay.
boots different colour dissidia design lore ruining
Thankfully there's this handy infographic to explain to to you. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/1844/a032c85f-6df2-4a4c-b550-44f761423585/image.png But yeah I really don't see more than minute differences. You could argue that Cloud's face is a little different but he'd be changed anyway because that's modern Final Fantasy.
It was a joke, man. I cannot tell personally what is so inaccurate to the original design about Cloud in SSBU.
