For some reason I got a entirely different idea of what you meant when it comes to custom announcer. Like you could somehow word salad Xaviars voice into saying stupid shit like that Tetra's Treasure Trackers back on the gamecube. "Bi-GI-GIE Sam-ALLS WINS"
Reggie for the announcer .
how do you suggest he be able to verify everything his sources say
Oh man. Announcers would be neat. Imagine just Sakurai's voice being a late, hard unlock reward.
I really want selectable announcers, but I'd only really care if we got PAT "CASH MONEY" CASHMAN GGXrd has DLC for every character that makes them the announcer. I use May, cause it's hilarious. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MWwhpbhPSE0
This. Anyone trying to say he gets more shit wrong and "hides behind his sources" are just trying to hurt his credible. Yes, he has gotten some stuff wrong, but if you look at his history with Bandai Namco leaks in general the guy is way more reputable.
It gets brought up a lot because he's barely credible and keeps making noise. Same with Laura Kate Dale and other famous leakers who might get one thing right in a tsunami of wrong things. I'm sorry but just because he got something right in a unrelated game developed by a completely different developer does not mean he has sources on everything. Especially when the proof is in the pudding that he's been making safe guesses and throwing up a dozen smoke screens.
Which I kind of acknowledged or tried to imply. He might have info on soul calibur. That games leaking itself for some reason (Cervantes trading card and whatnot). But that's Soul Calibur. Soul Calibur is not smash. He can have all the info he wants on SC6, that doesn't mean he has a inside scoop on Smash as well- and when he posts things that are proven wrong time and time again you aren't supposed to go "Well his sources..." you're supposed to go "stop posting fake leaks". Like if anything this has convinced me to make safe ass calls next time a smash comes out and just preface it with "My sources said [x] is in, but I don't know if I believe it......." and I can be the next Verge.
You keep bringing up how Soul Calibur and other games he has leaked in the past aren't Smash when I just told you he is known for Bandai Namco leaks. His sources are all from Bandai, that's why his leaks are always related to games being developed by that company.
Elephelelelllt!
Not really. He was wrong on Star Fox Racing He was wrong on DBZ (Zarbon and others) He was wrong on MvCI getting more characters He was wrong about a switch exclusive castlevania collection (it being PS4 instead is hilarious) He's been wrong multiple times in Smash Ultimate. Sorry my dude but again, just because he gets one thing right doesn't make the rest of his record right.
Just get a Falcon announcer that's all I need
I always find Falcon's voice weird. In my mind I hear the HYES and all his usual quotes- but ever once in awhile I catch his shield break groan or one of his rare less bombastic lines and he just sounds off for some reason. I can't imagine him announcing things without having to scream it
It's like when you listen to enough Kirby voice lines you don't hear Kirby anymore but the voice actor https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JlaCLB2NiuA
Wario announcing other winners is just him saying "Some [x] wins I guess." x being replaced with Loser, Idiot, Cheater, Not Wario
snake announcer is a must
This hecked me up when I was going through voice files on the Wii-U version. It's hard to hear during gameplay but it really is his voice actor just saying random stuff
Idea: Have the winner of some big Nintendo Smash tournament get their own announcer pack Imagine if we got a fucking M2K announcer pack and it's the most awkward thing.
In general, certain top players or commentators would be fun as announcers. Especially D1.
A "Commentators" pack would be great. Get like D1, Coney, TK, EE, Toph, Scar, etc. to each do a few lines. D1 would obviously do Megaman.
Kirby actually saying words just fucks me up
As much as I don't want another Pokemon character, or Incineroar, I've been lightening up to the idea since i like cats and grapple characters.
He would phrase everything as a question "Mario wins, huh?" "Pikachu...wins? What do you mean, Colonel?" "Coin battle?! It can't be..."
"ᵍʳᵉʸ FOX"
Rex announcer
I'm down but Wallace Shawn might be a bit too pricey https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/1822/850693ae-690c-4aa5-847c-972699a963be/image.png
Waluigi ends up being an announcer pack instead of an actual playable character .
To be honest I hope, like the Gematsu leak from Smash 4, that Vergeben ultimately ends up being wrong about at least SOMETHING. Not because I dislike what he has leaked , but I just want to be able to be surprised by something. The Gematsu leak got pretty much everything right the first time, and in the second wave of leaks got most things right but ultimately ended up not knowing literally every character in the game. I hope that we have a similar situation here. Because damn it I want to be able to actually be surprised! When Robin , who wasn't in the Gematsu leak was confirmed as playable and Chrom was deconfirmed as playable that was probably the most exciting trailer simply because it was the complete opposite of what we were told to expect. It pretty much threw the entire leak out the window and made everything a guessing game again. I like that way more than knowing everything before it even happens.
I don't think we'll ever have enough Smash untainted by leaks, and that's disappointing.
Incineroar is objectively the most powerful Pokemon right now. I don't want it to be added to smash because then we'll see another Incineroar meta.
