A rep for a series filled with diverse and interesting fighters and you guys want the one guy in the series who uses a sword.

Yeah but Yoshimitsu is special, he uses his swords like fucking stilts.

Yeah and the last swordsman was half dragon with a chansaw sword didn't keep people from bitchin bout him.

Yoshimitsu would represent both Tekken and Soul Calibur so it'd be a perfect fit.

Aw man, they could have a cool character reveal character for him. Just imagine Marth and Link are dueling together in some sort of flat stage, like Final Destination. Next thing you know, the room gets darker and all you here is Marth gets thrown off the ring and yells all the way down, that way we can have even more tragic deaths. Then the camera focuses on Link as he raises his shield and readies his sword, and the room just keeps getting darker around him. All of sudden, laughter is heard. From the darkness, a silhouette is seen, and it's Yoshimitsu doing his win pose from SC2, thunder flashes to slightly reveal his design from the game and he lunges at Link, lighting up the whole room and revealing him completely. Character splash screen. Cut to gameplay. Hire me Nintendo.

On the site the smash logo is considered the Mii logo (it's called m_s_mii on the icon file), even for stuff related to smash only it is used. Stages all have their own icons too, that's why tomodachi life has a logo.

For Sakurai saying that "don't expect too many fighters", we're getting Ultimate Direct left and right, and I do understand that it's their biggest game for this year. Still, if we are getting a Direct I do hope they talk more about the "spirits" mode and/or give a hint for a story/adventure mode.

TBF there's only 2 more months left, and I feel like during the last month there won't be any news about the game until release.

I'd say we're definitely getting another Direct, MAYBE another after that (I'd say a segment in a more generalized Direct is far more likely), and a host of commercials during the final month. If there's any DLC, I imagine they'd announce it relatively soon after release, like how they did with Mewtwo. Not in a "this may as well have been on this disc at launch" kinda way, but in the "now we can start working on this, since the game is out" kinda way.
