Sucks that you can't use dlc characters in training mode. I can't tell how to deal with one of 2Bs moves, so I need to purchase her to lab it, but I have no interest in playing as her.

On the topic of 2B, she doesn't seem as overpowered as i initially thought, though anyone noticing that Geralt vs 2B matchups are heavily biased towards the latter? I think Yoko Taro has made certain... requests regarding her inclusion in the game

Ranger not using an axe is really disappointing :V

If Spawn was a guest character again, I would definitely would have used his moveset. The only other character that had an axe was Astaroth, and it was way too fucking big. Plus, I like Mitsurugi's moveset :V

I play Taki, and its 2Bs move where she shoots out her fists long range. It seems like a command grab.

Okay, so that move is one of 2B's mix ups, but there are good ways to circumvent them. So 2B has this stance where glides towards you. The moment you see her doing it, she has access to a bunch of moves that leave you guessing (she has a low vertical, a bunch of mids, throws, a bubble thing, and of course the rocket fist.) Assuming that 2B doesn't go for the horizontal or bubble thing, you can easily preemptively sidestep them for an easy punish. In addition to this, Taki has B+K, along with 2/8B+K to weaken 2B's mix-up pressure even more. You see her gliding towards you? Do a dodge roll or a ninja flip She'll be negative enough to get a combo starter in if you do it early enough. If you guard the rocket fist, she's spaced you out. Taki can't do much here, but 6A+B can get you back in close again and start applying your own pressure with Possession stance. They can't sidestep this, only block and/or crouch, leaving you positive or forcing a reset. This probably isn't all of it, but I hope it helped

I'm in a Soul Calibur modding discord server, and apparently a tool that's been used for modding CaS characters is not only being discontinued but is also getting a patch that deliberately breaks it. I also don't know a whole lot about the tool itself as I never used it myself. With that said, I feel mixed about this decision, because while I can understand why they would do this, it also feels petty as fuck seeing as a bunch of people who are into SC6 modding are getting screwed over just because of a couple asshats.

I sympathize with the tool-maker tbh. I had a friend who made a tool that improved this other game that had several performance issues and poor optimization, and someone took their code and abused it to give themselves free real-money-currency, the devs ended up banning my friend for making the tool, which was intended to just help people. The tool-maker is protecting themselves. Plus, it's a complete betrayal of trust to have something you made for a community in good faith only to have it be used for nefarious purposes. Honestly, shame on those people for misusing the modder's hard work.

I think the same happened on the Switch modding scene. Some dude made a quick hack for Splatoon 2 which he only used for himself until a friend of his who he trusted just leaked it and caused the game to have a small influx of hackers for a while until it became outdated. Fucking dick move. The only times I've ever used a Trainer/Save Editor of sorts, I was always offline just messing with it. Most of the games were singleplayer anyways. The people who abuse tools like that and hungry dataminers are the bane of gaming communities IMO.

It's inferno, the final boss. He literally had several moves that kill instantly if you're not careful. So yeah, it's a big deal.

Code names for DLC Characters were found in the last update. Soul Calibur 6's newest update appears to have added data for up.. Cassandra or Amy are definitely coming up soon. If I had to guess, "Stone" is Rock, "Snow" is Setsuka (since her name means "Snow Flower", and "Reptile" has to be Lizardman. No idea who "Yell", "Star" and "Yellow" are supposed to be, though.

Does that mean I will be able to re-create my boy Panzerfaust from Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny at one point of time? They really didn't try with codenames, did they?

Star is short for Star Platinum and is a codename for ZWEI being a legally distinct stand user. ZWEI's back.

Or it could be Starkiller, everyone's favourite tie-in character...? Aeon needs to return but part of me hopes Reptile is literally just Reptile from Mortal Kombat.

So I just got this game, because I really loved SC4 and 5, and so far I'm having a lot of fun. The story mode is basic, and I don't think I can get into mission mode, but honestly the game as a whole is pretty solid. Wish it was a bit more active, and the customization is really lacking for options (where are my freakin' lady knight parts). Hoping we get Hilde as DLC. She was always my favorite, even though in combat she was a little underpowered. Maybe they can buff her to "not bad" this time.

Yeah, looked it up and saw that. Hopefully it's more than, like, 2 or 3 different sets.

I'm hoping for new-old styles. Particularly Devil Jin or Heihachi.
