SOUL CALIBUR General V1-Does your soul still burn?

Yes
Dunno if it's just me, but i'm getting the feeling that Bandai Namco are ashamed with the inclusion of Geralt. Gameplay-wise, he kinda feels like a mid-to-low Tier character. Definitely better than Talim, but match-ups with the most of the non-DLC characters range from slightly unfavourable to "Yeah, there's a reason why you're the only Geralt you know in ranked".
2B and Amy seem to steamroll him outright.
At this point, i won't be surprised if future updates retcon his appearance in Libra of Soul, with 2B fighting Mitsurugi in his stead.
You mean rerecording dialogue and changing the story retroactively?
BAMCO doesn't give enough of a shit about SC6 to bother, I don't think.
And they give even less fucks about Geralt.
I also remember entertaining the thought that having a character from the Tales series would be good for the long-term success for SoulCalibur. Maybe they will do exactly that, if only to forget that Geralt's even in the game.
I also know that a lot of people think "We already have enough guests", but can we really trust Bandai Namco to swallow their misplaced shame and not make Geralt terrible? Cuz last i checked, I think more people were excited to play as Geralt than they were disappointed about "it's not 2B where the fuck is she"
honestly SC6 has been horribly mishandled from the start. I get that Tekken is the big moneymaker for Bamco fighting games and SC6 made enough at the start of it's life cycle to keep the series going, but long-term player QoL is more important than short term earnings and right now I really doubt they're even going to go through with that pseudo-leaked season 2 because fuck me man look at the playercounts it's terrible

Tira's DLC is also on sale apparently.
Hey guys, I figured out how to play Geralt in 1.30!

Wanna watch a guy smash stuff with a life-size replica of Requiem?

Bump, PlayStation Store page says that the next CAS Parts DLC is coming soon and may be released next week. It's way down the list, but it's there.
New on PlayStation Store this week
And there's apparently gonna be 97 audio tracks too. Will be disappoint if neither Confrontation, Forsaken Sanctuary, Breakthrough or Thanatos appears.
The patch is out on steam. They also updated the jp website with info and images of the new items on dlc 5: SOULCALIBUR VI (ソウルキャリバー 6) | バンダイナムコエンターテインメント公式サイト

I'm seriously feeling pretty iffy about the fact that some of the items in these DLC packs are basically taken from vanilla SC5.
Like, if they had included those parts in the base game as a free update and just made the parts from SC5's DLC plus what I'm assuming is stuff from Lost Souls into DLC, that would have been fine. Instead, they decided to include SC5 DLC stuff like the wedding clothes into a free update instead, for some weird fucking reason.
Bandai Namco is basically the biggest explanation you need.
On the bright side, Ansel support.

I can't say I'm surprised but I looked through the new costume content and there's still a good chunk of stuff missing from SC5. So if they decide to do a second pass there's probably gonna be more resold reused content.
The character creator is fucking baffling. We have this awesome toolset but no actual normal pieces to use
hopefully the Season 2 rumors are true
So i accidentally ran the game with ~mods in my Paks folder while logged onto Steam. Anyone know if model replacements are a bannable offense?
Doubt it, Tekken 7 has similar cosmetic mods, same engine and structure and everything and no one has gotten banned for that. I think they ban things on a case by case basis. Dont think most fighting games have actual anti-cheat too other than report systems where someone has to review fights themselves.
So... been getting a lot of audio crackling, especially when using custom characters. Anyone know any solutions?
Someone ported some Doomguy armor into SC6.

Considering the talks about Season 2, i cannot help but be concerned about the PC version's post-release support after seeing that Code Vein will only release on PS4 and Xbox One.
The cancellation of Code Vein's port will have negative implications in this regard, as this would also mean that SCVI will not be supported on PC moving on from DLC6 (Likely Cassandra, though Bamco's usage of copyright claims suggest Setsuka has a chance of replacing her)
I've seen nothing on this, no news articles, the site still shows PC being a release platform. Where did this come from.
In fact I just read an article from two days ago about the producer saying they are open to a Switch port in the future but that they are focused on the release of the Xbox, PlayStation, and Steam versions.
This is the latest promotional image from social media. The lack of a Steam logo is greatly concerning if the devs are willing to drop their PC support at this point, especially when juxtaposed with the Season 2 rumours for SoulCalibur VI and the lack of any information about Ace Combat 7's DLC missions.

I'm gonna say that's probably them just not including the preorder bonus for PC. That or simply to play off the fact they just did a console network test. Everywhere else I'm seeing still shows pc as a platform.
Code Vein's preorder bonus images haven't shown the Steam logo since the original planned release, because none of these are about the digital version of the game. Because, like God Eater 3, PC isn't getting a physical release.
All of the PC preorder bonus stuff will be listed on the Steam store page when it actually appears, which will probably be close to release (like God Eater 3). People just being pointless drama queens as usual.
SC6's postlaunch has been a total shitshow all around, nevermind the PC version alone.
The thing with Code Vein is that it's still made by the same developers as SoulCalibur VI, and the new One Piece game is made by a studio that doesn't have any ties with Bandai Namco asides from being the publisher.
A game made by the creators of SoulCalibur not releasing on the PC platform at all would have negative implications regarding whether or not the PC version of SCVI would get the same level of post-release support as the console versions. I may not give too much fucks about Code Vein specifically, but I can't say i'll be a fan of buying a PS4 just to have a more up-to-date version of a game that I've already spent a pre-order and several beers on.
Code Vein is made by the God Eater team, a seperate entity within BNE to the Soul Calibur team. What would or wouldn't happen to Code Vein would have little to no effect on SCVI.
