Are the spells actually back?

*game updates* "TF2 IS A DEAD GAME PACK IT IN BOIS"

I have been on 3 different trade servers tonight. Zero evidence that spells are back. In fact, traders are raising the prices of spelled items. Spells are definitely NOT back, until proven otherwise.

SLASHER! FINALLY Also, I'm calling it: Winter Update is coming. Last time we got a Halloween that actually had shit was 2015, and it was followed pretty quickly by Tough Break. If the TF Team wanted to keep expectations low, they could've just done a very low-key Halloween like they have for the past two years. Them going out of their way to do this, plus the evidence of new voice recording sessions, indicates to me that something bigger is in the works, and may be here sooner than we think.

Can we have all the new Unusual effects compiled together? The workshop doesn't seem to show off all of them

Hell yeah, this update once again introduced god awful routing to their servers. I'm getting better ping to LA and Washington servers than I do Virginia despite living in Florida. Fuck this... Get used to playing with 20-30 ping for a month or two and suddenly get put back to the 120+ experience.

They cannot have just recorded just those taunt lines, especially since Rick May and Nathan Vetterlein only record for TF2.

I had a couple games without the new taunts where the decaying fps + crash didn't happen so I'll just keep blaming the new taunts that literally drain your gpu like a vampire after a couple minutes. im pretty sure that was sarcasm

Most likely re-used from un-implemented features like the trade voice lines mixed with MVM specific lines. i.e Soldier saying "tank" is probably ripped from MVM.

They aren't voice mixed, Scout specifically mentions wheelies and stuff and Soldier says tank related things that aren't related to MVM, like "I'll tattoo tank treads on your ass maggot".

I hate these pumpkin kill contracts on the maps. Feels like I have to stake out pumpkin bombs just waiting for a chance to get them.

I dislike the contracts in general considering the bonus mean nothing apart from speeding up the point gain. There isn't a reason to fully complete the bonus like there was (partially) for the Jungle Inferno contracts.

Yeah, Valve put a lot of work into this one, the game is more alive than ever.

Yeah. Halloween is great. Great content, maps that are a total clusterfuck but they are fun to play with. But fuck the game when it says "Hey, Enclave, I know you're with a friend and having fun, so let me scramble one of you towards the other team" No, game. We do not like that. Stop forcing it when there's o n e minute left. Just let us have halloween fun and not average-casual fun.

first life in tf2 for this update and i got random critted

I crashed 3-4 times on a trade server while doing transmutations. It usually happened when I clicked on the soul gargoyle, but not always.

I hate the contract that revolve around it since I'm a completionist and it feels like you need to pay someone to die to them in order to complete the contract on them. Last year I missed 100%ing it due to one pumpkin bomb contract. Did they increase the ranks on the Soul Gargoyle BTW? I maxed it out on a previous Halloween after they increased it and I'm just wondering if there are more ranks now or something... Liking the new moon unusual effect... Now I want a Merc Mohawk with that effect go to go with my Starstrom Slumber Merc Mohawk lol... Looking forward to trying the new maps though mostly. Hope they have a good choice of maps this year.
