Iron bomber is used by bad demomen, as opposed to those good demomen who gimp themselves for no reason
So I went ahead and sent the TF Team an email inquiring about a few things even though most of it affects very few people or nobody at all: 1) All all/multiclass melee reskins for Heavy lack the ability to perform taunt kills except for the Saxxy. If Spy can use the weapon though, he can still perform taunt kills. If Halloween is enabled, trying to taunt with one of these weapons has a 40% chance of doing nothing, or 60% chance to do the Thriller. Also, Spy has a 60% chance to do the thriller instead of his taunt kill. Despite the Saxxy (being Strange these days)/Golden Pan having the ability to taunt kill they cannot have the Taunt Kills part applied. 2) All all/multiclass weapons that can be used by Spy lack the ability to have Kills with a Taunt Attack applied to them. 3) All all/multiclass weapons that can be used by Engineer lack the ability to have Sappers Destroyed applied to them. 4) Prinny Machete/Crossing Guard still lack killstreak kits in any capacity. And also just for fun: 5) Strange filters cannot be applied to Strange cosmetics even though it explicitly states they can be applied to "item" and not "weapon": https://i.imgur.com/7EMySf6.png Also.. wait a second. The Prinny Machete will probably never have KS kits for the same reason that the Crossing Guard doesn't. The weapon model is not set up to show a sheen. It's got incompatible VTFs. Even using a (now insanely expensive) universal spec kit provides no visible effect on the weapon. I imagine using an (even more expensive) universal pro kit will provide an eye effect with those two weapons, but no sheen. This is the kind of issue Valve will not fix in 100 solar lifetimes. TBH all 3 Prinny items are kind of crap. The two cosmetics are ill-fitting on more classes than they aren't, particularly the hat. The Machete fits poorly in the hands of most classes, particularly Heavy. I think it has a lousy attachment point. I was in the Mann Co Store this week buying backpack expanders and pink paint* and I'm quite sure I saw map stamps and filters. I just re-checked and strange filters are under the "Maps" tab. *it was for my Robin Walkers. STOP JUDGING ME.

Compare the machete VMT to any workshop hat VMT and they're pretty much exactly the same, down to having the material proxy for paint instead of crit glow.
Looks like the update dropped me down to 146 stars for some reason even though I got 150 and have the gold canteen.

TIL. That point aside, I repeat that the 3 Prinny items are rather shit and a sign of Valve's terrible QC. I wonder, does the Crossing Guard have a crit glow? I don't think I've ever noticed. I'm currently on my laptop and can't be arsed to fire up TF2 on it. I'm unsure about models and physics on the grenades, but the Iron Bomber feels and sounds rewarding. That "pomp?" "whomp?" "blop" is too damn good. Stock Launcher lacks that gorgeous sound. I'm going to run Stock for a while and see how it goes.
tbh the main reason i dislike using stock over Iron Bomber is solely because both it and the Loch-n-Load have the unforgivable "incorrect model for clip size" issue. Iron Bomber has 4 slots for 4 grenades, while stock has had 6 slots and 4 grenades for 10+ years now.
double donks counts towards "killing scared players". such a relief I could finish that one faster than intended.
Killing people with Natasha works as well... I guess it's anything that effects players movement counts as the person being "scared"?
i'm 99% certain it's all just filed under "stun" in the code that's why the (old) guillotine would crit (old) airblasted players and players under fire from the natascha hell, the bleeding alone would crit if they got hit by a natascha bullet

That bug has existed for years. The fix is to restart TF2. If a restart doesn't fix it, I don't know what to tell you.

Critical glows and killstreak sheens can be easily fixed in the weapon VMT. However, critical glows are seemingly impossible to fully implement for weapons that use the cosmetics' painting method to team color themselves. I only really managed to make the Cow Mangler, Lollichop, Festive Sandvich and Festive Sapper to glow their team colored parts with the crit glow when crit boosted, and that I only managed to do it with some pseudo-programming tomfoolery.
Hit alt. This is a bug with all OB-engine games. Go try it yourself, believe me, it works. If you alt-tab during a lagspike, or sometimes just lag spike in general with your finger anywhere near alt, it locks up. Even happens to me in SFM, too.
I'm not sure where to put this anymore, but I just remembered when I used to hold tf2 item raffles that were pretty fucked. For example, it would have 10 items and 11 slots, so everyone would get something but 1 person.
Ah, I always thought you had to Alt+Tab. Indeed these weapons use their alpha channel to color the parts, and I wish you could manipulate $blendTintByBaseAlpha with proxies so that it could disable itself when model is crit boosted, but, alas, you cannot. I only managed to make then crit glow partially by doing a fake "else" function with proxies, so that when the color of the model being called is closer to the crit glow color than the team color, it switches to that color. (Also mini crits work as these are close to the crit glow colors too)
that's because the Megapatch brought along an alteration to the contracts system, to bring it more in-line with the contract style of Jungle Inferno (where earlier the bonus objectives were there to help you finish your contract faster, now they're actual side-objectives that grant you additional stars for completing them) But any medal you've earned prior to this change can't be taken away from you (because how could we do such a feat) and once you hit gold again, you don't get Gold (because you already have it)

I went through so many tours only to get 2 aussie scatterguns. This is like, after 80 or so because I reset the badge at some point. But the fact that they were the same one.. Game is cursed.
scatterguns are pretty high tier. that is luck. come back when you get axtinguishers or smgs.

I didnt get a unusual but i got a damage dealt strange part out of three boxes and a factory new paint. And a skull meelee out of the halloween package. Didnt even knew you could get one out of those.
