4 years ago, smash 4 got a very long video describing everything new in the game. It described a bunch of new stages, characters, and a ton of minute details.

It is shorter than the direct on Thursday. What the fuck did they add
6-7 new characters, Spirit Mode, any potential single-player modes, whether Smash Run or the Party mode will return, online features, whether custom moves will return, et cetera

Open and follow threads about the direct if you want to get info and reactions as it comes out but cannot stay and watch it. I did that in August, got HYPE as fuck, then when I got home watched the direct.
In fact, I also did that in June, mostly because I had work as the E3 presentation was on; opening the internet to see screams of RIDLEY was glorious and made my day.

That vid on twitter of people losing their shit when Daisy was revealed made me incredibly happy even though Daisy is a boring character. They announced fucking Isabelle as playable and everybody was ecstatic (at least at first). Nintendo could announce Goomba as a new character and people would lose their shit. That's how big the series is at this point.

The direct being in November pretty much deconfirms Skull Kid from being in Smash Ultimate.
Yeah, his posture is reasonable, any rumor he gives any ray of credence gets labeled as SEREBII CONFIRMED, and that is a lose-lose: If true, he builds reputation as a leaker and that's not good for his standing with TPCi, and if false, it makes him come across as unreliable. It is damage control no matter what, and this is a case of Shrodinger's leak anyway, so reasonable through and through.

I’m on agree in the fact that people weren’t able to disprove the photo being photoshopped. If it does end up beign fake all along, it actually willl get me more anxious in that we might get someone completely out of the ordinary.
i'm still on team fake but believing that we're only gonna get an echo and a newcomer as fighters at this point is plain stupid

I completely forgot about the Smash demo from 3ds. I remember getting that shit on the 3rd of November? December? of like 2015 and just playing the shit out of it, even though it was only 5 characters and a single timed mode. I think a public demo download is what, at this point, all of society needs, because a straight month between the direct and the actual release is gonna be kilelr.
