I hope it's fake and the leaked renders are all the same quality of that Agnes one where characters are crosseyed and Ken looks like a melting butter human.

I thought Flex Tape became a meme because it did, not because JonTron did it. I've been seeing that shit all over with absolutely zero reference to Jon.

At this point I don't really care if the leak is real or fake, just that the 'insiders' are all wrong. Fuck em' all, they're trash riding on nonexistent success.

Oh yeah, a bit overlooked in the hype, but the blog post for Rosalina today mentioned that just getting hit as her makes Luma flustered, meaning he can't just invalidate combos for free and fixes the biggest problem that makes Rosalina unpleasant to play against. Hopefully they fixed the gross knockback problems with Luma, though.

sometimes I just feel like if all those 'leakers' are just red herrings planted by companies to spread rumors or are they really certain about their 'inside sources' to a delusional level that makes them such a pretentious assholes. even if those leakers are 'legit' and have real sources I am pretty sure they'll just get BTFO'd the next time, especially for big companies like these.

While I'm #teamreal on the leak if it does turn out to be fake through some sort of sick cosmic joke how insufferable are these insiders going to be since they all doubt the leak?

There are companies that use misdirection tactics to maintain secrecy. Nintendo themselves will often put unproven devs to work on entire fake Mario games to test their reliability with confidential information; if they leak part or all of their fake project, Nintendo immediately knows it was them, and removes them from staff.

Yeah that's not a great outcome either. People on the internet need to chill.

Just had a thought: what if the leak is fake but the characters in it are real, kinda like that Palutena leak for the 3DS prior to her trailer?

I won't be surprised if that's the case if Vergen and Grinch leaks are fake but all the characters are real. That's a lot of fighters to cramp up in a 40 minute presentation.

The only insiders i trust are the ones about direct dates, and even then they only talk about it the day before the direct's announcement dates

Here's my prediction for the Nintendo Direct: One character from both leaks make it in. about half way through the presentation Sakurai announces that he has a special guest coming on stage Audience silence and a brief pause as the curtain rolls back to reveal its none other than Gabe Newell's Son Gray Newell He boldly walks on stage and shakes hands, cut to a brief interview on the history of Valve Cut back to stage and Sakurai smiles and says that the last newcomer is one of Valve's characters with a new game coming to Nintendo Switch December 15. Cut to reveal trailer; Wario and Isabell are on a new stage. Wario sneaks up behind the unsuspecting dog and attempts to sucker punch her, only to be stopped by a flying disk knocking him off screen. Isabelle is visually confused and her attention is drawn towards a flying disk, and she runs off after it. Camera pans quickly to reveal the new comer is non other than Marty from Ricochet 2 His specials moves and main gimmick revolves around knocking everyone around in a similar fashion to ROB's spinning top attack. As the smash bros direct closes a new on comes up revealing the launch trailer for the long awaited Ricochet 2 for Nintendo Switch. Its all more plausible than Geno or Inceneroar getting put in since the original ricochet was released on November 1st and the smash direct is also scheduled for then.

I think its just more that people have been focusing less on those characters because of the leak. Obviously when they are rumors that a character could be added, it could make you less likely to talk about wanting another. If there's a possibility of something being real, its more likely to attract more attention than something in the future being possible.

Tansut (they guy that leaked Cloud DLC apparently) claims the banner is fake. Somewhat. As much as I want her, if Shovel Knight ended as a Assist Trophy, she won't make it past that. Not a 1:1 but I think they have brought back some old stuff.
