Like, not shitting on world of light or spirits but... Would it really have been that hard to just make a traditional adventure mode? It possibly would have required less work depending on if WoL is as long or longer than subspace

Well... at least I got my boy Ken in the game.
Adventure Mode looks ok, I just wish i was more in-line of Melee's where you traverse into stages, but I seems it's just Special Smash battles. Hopefully there's more cutscenes.
Still, you really can't be disappointed. We got fucking King K. Rool, Simon, Ridley in the game.
yeah jesus christ. that's the most offensive thing. if you don't have much to show, don't cram in a bunch of filler, no one said it had to be 40 minutes, all it did was set people up with higher expectations
showing us things like changing the language in the options menu was absurd

What really sucks is that they built up to Incineroar like they were proud of him. They built him up in the Shadows and all that.
Now that the leak was fake, I feel there are so many more questions now. Where did the renders come from? Why go through all this effort? Confusion ahoy!
I'm still excited for the game, but man.

I think I can say with confidence that I can't think of anything that would have been a worse pick than the Piranha Plant. You can try to suggest others but at least they'd be vaguely funny.
Any number of reasons. Short-lived internet fame, a test of craftsmanship and skill (like the "leaked" Rayman art and edits), maybe just to cause even more chaos within easily one of the rowdiest fanbases in history.
So, that was a real mixed bag
Not super happy about Grinch+Black Knight/Shantae/some others I don't remember being deconfirmed and Incineroar being confirmed, but World of Light looks alright if it's really a sort-of-story-sort-of-boss mode with voice acting (which I didn't mind tbh)
Well I got played like a fiddle, Sakurai fucking tricked us all.
Piranha plant looks great though, though I hope some of those grinch leaked characters are DLC
i can't believe Dr. Luigi didn't make the cut wtf
that was a pretty awful direct through and through. adventure mode looked neat, but didn't make up for it.
but i shouldnt have let the leak get the better of me. sakurai told us not to expect too many new fighters and he wasn't lying.
