Interesting thing about GameXplain's relative silence: https://twitter.com/JoeyTheGamer101/status/1056308623171874816 There are multiple tweets in a row, and this first one is non-spoilers so I felt it was safe to embed, but it does bring up some interesting points and might mean Shadow ISN'T just a clone.
Are you "memeing" or being serious Illumination has had the rights to an animated Mario film for a while now

To be fair anyone can write anything on /v/. Dude didn't post anything that could add proof.
Thank you Mr. Grinch
That's theory craft really, Honestly with a channel as huge as GX, it's expected to be "in the know" about news and so they probably would want to avoid spreading a potentially real leak and losing their sources/connections.
I don't know how much I trust a guy who claims that getting leaks wrong is cosmic karma for not supporting Trump.
Fully memeing
I legitimately didn't even notice the last line until now. Lol, that is really bad.
Spoilers my dude, spoilers. That's essentially putting an ultimatum for the leak - either it'll happen on the 8th and the leak is right, or it isn't right if anything else happens. It also mentioned every character to be revealed
Most of the shitposting on /v/ has been following the five stages of grief. Most of them are still stuck on denial, but others are steadily moving the goalposts to stuff like "actually vergeben-style leaks were false flag operations to fool you" or "actually this was leaked by nintendo themselves to create a hype train, i can't believe you all fell for it and think it was an unintentional leak".
...The five stages of grief would imply that the leak has been proven wrong, and it hasn't. I really don't get what you're going on about. Do you just have an irrationally hatred for 4chan? Because they have a better track record than most other community sites, and you can't even label them as being "in denial" when A. literally everybody on the site is anonymous, so for all you know, it could be Sakurai himself leaking the info, or it could be Matpat from Gametheory trying to trick everybody into thinking that the leak is real, and B. everybody on the site is anonymous, so there's no glory or fame to be gained from leaking info on the site anyways. The posts on the site will always be "4chan".
I'm referring to people who think that the leak is wrong, without having any proof, increasingly stretching to find reasons why it's fake with a lack of conclusive evidence to prove it wrong.
Regardless of the leak's veracity, GX has been acting fishy regarding this leak. I'll just repost what I said on Smashboards: Yeah that's the key here. They gave a fair shake to the ESRB leak, the box theory and the blog theory, but here they just said "it's fake because it's blurry" and moved on. Why even make a video about it if they didn't intend to give it any sort of thought or discussion? It's not like they make a video to deconfirm every leak that features a picture of Goku. They aren't treating it as seriously as they did other credible theories, but they also aren't ignoring it like they do all other "obvious" fakes. I'm not going to speculate on what their behavior means, because that gets into conspiracy theory territory, but they are treating the Grinch leak a bit strangely. This is especially shocking given that they're the same channel that produced feature-length analyses of the Odyssey and Breath of the Wild trailers. They normally take pride in their work, but their initial Grinch video was horribly lazy. I like how you described it as "embarrassing," actually, because that's the perfect word for it.
The GameExplain behaviour really is weird. The conspiracy theory is that they know it's real and don't want to cover it as a result because they don't want to piss off Nintendo. The toned down conspiracy theory would be that they think it might be real and as a result don't want to cover it and piss off Nintendo. I remember somebody mentioning that the circumstances of GameExplain are a bit different from when they covered the ESRB leak so they'd be less willing to cover a leak that is real or might be real. Alternatively, they didn't believe it was credible originally and have put themselves in an awkward position and/or are unwilling to backpedal on their first impression, or something like that. Personally I think it's more likely to be something innocent then that they're in on the whole thing and it's all a big cover-up.
I cant help but feel y'all are overthinking things- what can they analyze about a blurry photo? With the ESRB leak we had gameplay, the box theory has basis (only so many slots on the box), and the blog theory had web stuff to talk about. All we got from this leak is a picture with good leads, and that's it. As easy as it would be to go down a spiral of theories, I'm not gonna waste brain space on their videos or lack thereof.
The only thing that was weird to me was Andre calling out ResetEra. https://twitter.com/AndreSegers/status/1055511775360110592
Literally no one should ever pay attention to GAF or ResetEra ever. If you think people here have insane or shitty mindsets about things, every thread. Every fucking thread devolves into just utter nonsense of people defending dumb opinions way too hard.
Sounds familiar
So, why exactly is this leak called the 'Grinch' leak?
the photo of the leak also had some promotional material stuff relating to the upcoming grinch movie, which is apparently being printed in the same place as the smash bros promo material.
Got the chance to play Smash at PAX over the weekend. Hard to get a good feel of it in chaotic and short 4-player-FFA, but it certainly got me hyped again.
Why does he have to mention Trump?
Legit though, an updated smash run.
Waluigi protest at Nintendo booth rocks day 2 of PAXAUS
They're the underground resistance that were recently arrested.
The seems very convincing. Not mentioned in the string of tweets, they also predicted the Final Smash Bar
https://twitter.com/HiFightTH/status/1056486161940529153 While the Tekken team is separate from the people working on Smash, and Sora is more involved than Bandai-Namco, I wouldn't be surprised if a similar technique was used.
I don't know what's better. The Grinch leak being real or all these insiders" being played for chumps to find who is trying to leak info.
To be honest, if I were to leak, I'd just post a character list as an anon in 4chan, and fade into obscurity.
