not 1 but 2 locations clearly edited where the new characters were "coincidentally" put... that would just have to be the biggest coincidence of all time if this ended up not being real
Sakurai also mentioned they had to edit the script. Isabelle was announced all by herself with no cut to Sakurai, maybe they had more to show.
By chance, did the rescheduled Direct ever have a time attached to it prior to being changed to the changed?

So at this point, are there any genuinely valid arguments for the leak being either entirely false or incorrect in some way?
Someone made an animation of the current known mural changes and then the Grinch leak mural. This makes it easier to see how much is actually changed and how many characters are moved to make it work while still leaving no discernible artifacts that have been able to debunk it:

Even if that leak is fake the weird missing chunk where They would have put Isaac is SUPER FUCKING WEIRD
And it was approx. 38 minutes when it dropped. Despite something getting removed beyond the DLC for Cities: Skylines, they must of added more for some reason. Whatever news they were going to break they must have scrambled some small scraps together to get people talking.

So on the cut, I wanna see this debated.
The website banner is loaded in chunks. The mural is animated and there's 7-8 of them in total. Chunk 2 and 3 are the ones that look weird in those pictures which is fair- but from what I've read it was only like that for about 5-6 minutes before it updated properly *at best*.
What's not to say that the site was just being weird and taking a minute to update? I mean this isn't the first time the site borked in some way or something went weird with the update (recently the castlevania song) and it sounds like kind of a reach with that in consideration. Also Mac's boot has 2 problems: That green just doesn't seem to be there at all and I'm seeing people argue that it's just compression. The other smoking gun is that the green on his boot looks an awful lot like Shulk.
As time has gone on, there's been a lot of discussion that the chunks just took time to update and that's why Mac/Olimar were cut off. I don't feel too confident in using that as evidence any more, although the fact that Isaac's art ends right at the seam is weird to me.
In other news, an allegedly reputable individual (even though they're a literally who to me) chimed in and says some elements of the leak are true, but he's unsure about others:

Tbh there's a lot of literal who's chiming out that are suddenly being taken as reputable because they're saying the leak is real- despite never having called anything in the past and I think that's super frustrating and stupid.
Like Papagenos who certainly doesn't sound biased at all with his name just went "yep it's real" and now he's getting posted everywhere as the ONE TRUE LEAKER and it's like... man nobody knew about him before he said he thought it was real, now he suddenly has a handful of sources and information just because the spotlight is on him? Come on.

Greetings. I am a reputable Smash leaker man and have sources inside Nintendo himself telling me that, unfortunately, the leak is fake. It was done by Illumination entertainment to attempt to discredit Nintendo in hopes of lowering the asking price for the Nintendo film rights, resulting in a net profit for the animation company. I can confirm, with utmost confirmation, that the only new characters being added to the game now are Silver the Hedgehog, Jesse and James from Team Rocket (Ice Climbers echo), Goomba, from Super Mario Brothers, and The Player Himself, from Rhythm Heaven. I'm afraid I can't disclose my visual proof, lest I be swiftly gunned down in the streets by Nintendo's firing squads. Please believe me.

I'm thinking that they're going to announce around half of the characters in the leak as DLC sometime after the next direct.
i doubt that honestly. if theyre going to be DLC then it would be a bit unusual for them to be on the box and stuff. they can always change it up i guess, but i wouldnt really be a fan of it TBH.

Oh, I didn't realize they were already on a box in a official render. I was trying to avoid spoilers, so I guess I just didn't read about that detail.
