Two things I imagine happening when SSBU is released is that when people start hacking the game to rip the models from it someone will either mod Ken's SSBU face onto SFV Ken or just mod in the entire model.

Was hoping Spirits was essentially Subspace. The roster is perfect imo but now that i've seen that there is still no Subspace like story mode I don't think I want to spend the money on a Switch just for Smash. After all the boss reveals I was hoping we would have more story with all these new characters interacting, im a sucker for that. Oh well. I'm not much of a competitive fighter fan, much more casual, so I still enjoy Subspace. Replaying it now actually. Might still get the game at some point just for my Castlevania bois getting reps and music.

I think the reaction from the direct will be a lot less stingy and negative once people get over the fact that the leak isnt real and realize a variety of other things such as the new online not being a downgrade and stuff.

Like I've said before, I've decided to just accept whatever will be in the game when it launches. No anger, no disappointment, just understanding that we'll get what we get and that I can't change it. And you know what? I've survived every leak thoroughly un-salted, and will be able to just sit down and enjoy the game without any lingering feelings of betrayal or sadness that my dreams weren't fulfilled. I am at peace.

I'm pretty sure they're the same mode, I was thinking the entire time during the initial demonstration of Spirits about how they're actually contextualising it.

Nope, World of Light is the Story Mode. Spirits is somewhat similar to Master Hand Ticket from Smash 4.

Now that the initial shock and confusion is over I'm actually quite pleased with a lot of what we saw today. Disappointed about the loss of trophies and likely the stage builder, but I like Incineroar's moveset, Ken is hype, and the Piranha Plant is fantastic. I bought the leak initially and felt some degree of doubt as time went on, but I'm not gonna flip out over it. I was so glad Kirby survived the snap those beams of light. Kirby is my favorite character in anything ever so I'm always happy to see him in the spotlight, although I realize it might bother some Smash fans. Also Bandana Dee was one of the few who survived today's massacre (supposedly), so I'm gonna hold out hope for the fated DeeLC.

I just realized that while custom balance doesn't affect rage, tournament organizers can now lab and test characters and MANUALLY BALANCE OVERPOWERED OR UNDERPOWERED CHARACTERS.

Banjo and Bandana Dee are still on the menu boys! Prepare for the DLC to be advertisements for the new fire emblem game and next gen of Pokemon.

The days of one character dominating the meta are over. Sakurai has solved balance as long as custom balance doesn't overtune with each notch.

We don't know how custom balance works yet. It could change the overall meta of the character entirely. Hell, there might be characters that are MORE POWERFUL when balanced down for whatever reason.

Imagine that there's a character that has an infinite ladder combo 0 to death that only works when balanced down. It's entirely possible.
