Don't think he was voiced in Brawl, and if he was, it was just one tiny voice clip for when he spawned. All he did in Brawl was spawn, fire hand waves at random, and then leave.

List on Reddit of some collected knowledge from the Spain demo. I having trouble remembering, is there a character from previous games that have the tether grab that couldn't use it to recover? Luigi not being able to do that is weird to me.

Yeah I remembered him pushing things around and people being pretty sour that it was all he did. Was kind of wondering if fans are happier that he does a bit more than that even though he doesn't use any magic. I mean it's more variety and all that. Also I don't think Wonder Red could get in as a character but if he doesn't I *really* wouldn't mind seeing a mii costume that comes in different colors. The mask hides mii's creepy dead eyes and you can legit just make your own fan-wonderful one. It seems like a genuinely perfect match

A UI change is a little far. Costume changes? Yes. Pallet swaps? Strong maybe.

It's kinda the same deal as the Fire Emblem over saturation, albeit with more thematic variety among Pokemon characters. Basically, in a game whose newcomers are otherwise mostly tailored to fan service fans like K. Rool, Ridley, Inklings, Simon Belmont, etc, people thought that having a non-fan-service newcomer from an already heavily represented franchise like Pokemon felt like corporate influence that detracted from the fan service focus. Me personally, I don't really care and I'm open minded about the character - I'm just articulating what the vibe in general was.
