If it's all the same, I'd prefer one single design Game and Watch over this new "references other G&W games even more" design anyways. There was consistency and appeal in the original Game and Watch design. He's his own character, especially in Brawl. Now he's just an unholy amalgamation of various different sprites when there was nothing wrong with his original design, and tons wrong with the various sprites and games they're taking inspiration from, as proven by that tweet. original G&W wasn't potentially being racist with his forward smash.

My guess Nintendo wants to try this style for G&W because they want to make him more interesting.

Fair, but more interesting doesn't always mean better.

Afaik ResetEra is supposed to be a spin-off of NeoGAF cause some members thought the site was terrible the way it was and created their own version, but their site actually ended up being way worse than NeoGAF is. I'm kind of light on the knowledge for as to why ResetEra is awful so if anyone has anymore info to add to it that'd be nice.

I'm still kinda bummed trophies got cut. I think a good way to have the best of both worlds would be to include spirits but add in trophies solely for the fighters in all star / classic / whatever modes. (that'd still be like, over 150, at least). also, i feel like if Tabuu, or any of SSE in general is important to this mode maybe it'll mean we might see at least the cutscenes from it in Ultimate? Bearing in mind it's a literal decade-old game at this point. (i feel old now.)

I think All-Star Mode got pointless because the whole purpose of it was to get Alt. Trophies of fighters. It's also now a endless mode instead of elimination like it was previously.
