There's 52 Spirits that float across the screen on the Spirits page: Min Min, Chorus Kids, Karate Joe, Wonder Blue, and Lyon from Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones are among them.
Nah, it's cool to vent frustration. Just don't take it out on other users because they feel differently.

If we get a Microsoft character and Minecraft content, they could just make Steve a costume for Mii Swordsman and tie them to a different franchise getting a playable character.

Not gonna lie, everything being stacked to Kirby keeps getting funnier to me as he's my absolute favorite nintendo character
When the trailer first played I misheard the lyrics at the very start as something along the lines of "It's up to Kirby something something save the day" and was losing my goddamn mind because - Not only is;
*The title of the mode Hoshi no Kabi backwards
*Kirby is the main character and savior
But even the fucking theme song was going on about how great Kirby was. Like it felt way too much even for me and I was howling. I had to listen to it a few times to finally get it out of my head that it *wasn't* what she was saying but it really made my day.
The only good thing to come out of Spirits for me is more deep Smash lore.
The more I think about Incineroar's kit, the more realised he seems as a true grappler archetype for smash. The extra power you get from revenge is insane but it's likely a lot easier to utilise it with the irish whip > clothesline than it is with a normal attack due to the range and shield bypass. The blowback from the successful revenge alone might be enough to start a mix-up but we won't know until we get our hands on the game probably.
I'm not that disappointed the grinch leak isn't real because I wanted Incineroar anyway and he looks much better than I expected!
And important to note. Kirby wasn't on the cliff with everyone waiting for the hands. When we first see him escaping he came from the final boss

That is genuinely really funny
tbh I'm satisfied with Ridley, K Rool, Simon/Richter, and Piranha Plant
anything else is just a plus, hope everybody has a chance to get their most wanted in, unless they were already deconfirmed obviously

So I guess I am stuck playing all the characters I have been playing the last couple games now.

Legit though, I wouldn't be surprised if some Assist Trophies and such get converted to fighters down the line considering this game will last for the system's lifetime and then some. Alucard, Zero, Shovel Knight, Springman, and such come to mind as possibilities.
Okay, the Piranha Plant looks like a fun character.
I'd be lying if I wasn't a little miffed that they decided to add a joke character rather than someone people actually, you know, wanted.
But at least Piranha Plant looks interesting and different and funny. A character that grows on you with their quirkiness.
One that's a little annoying and infuriating at first, but after short while, you're fine with them and laugh it off as a good troll.
And one that the dev team probably enjoys messing around with making, too.
You know which character I am going to take out my shattered hopes and dreams on?
Inciniroar.
I hate that fucker.

He's been the disappointing character reveal in TWO different games now.
I hated him in Sun and Moon.
And I hate him here.

I don't give a shit, it's still a humanoid fighter style fire starter.
Once, sure.
Twice, okay.
But four times.
Four times, the fire starting pokemon has been some shitty furry insert.
At least Infernape actually fit the fire/fighting theme, being a monkey. (I'll be honest, I don't get the hype for Blaziken. Besides being a furry, of course.)
Delphox was a step in the right direction. Still furry, but focused more on being a magician type pokemon rather than another fighter. And it fit foxes as whimsical and clever.
But no. They had to go back to "what if the fire starter... evolves into some guy that punches people?"
Hell, I hate the fighting type as a whole.
Only half the time is a fighting-type pokemon something other than "look, there's a poisonous rabbit-beast, there's a multi-headed emu, there's a giant insect, there's a living plant, oh and there's some moron running around with boxing gloves in the middle of the forest".
The grass and water starters have had a wide array of different, interesting forms.
Including humanoid and fighting types! But ones that are more animalistic, and fit their forms as animals.
But for four out of five of the last generations - more than half of the series - the fire starter has been furbait.
Not just furbait, but a specific, incredibly uninteresting type of furbait.
And now
instead of a character fans have been clamoring for for years
or someone from one of Nintendo's several IPs that have come out recently, like ARMS or Xenoblade 2
or someone unexpected but fun and interesting
or even just a pokemon with an interesting style
they choose the fucking furry
they spent time and money
that they could have spent on someone most people wanted
on one of the least interesting pokemon we've had in years
okay I'm exaggerating for comedic effect, but I really would take the plant over inciniroar 12 times out of 10
I was genuinely shocked Spring Man got turned into an assist trophy rather than a newcomer, I thought he'd be a shoe-in for sure.
Could be another Rex situation where ARMS started development after the roster was chosen
