How so?
Hell-met just loves to complain about pretty much everything TF2. Nothing new here, move on.
if you think tf2 isnt a bad game you dont like tf2
I dont think player numbers can always show how healthy a community is,games with smaller in comparison player bases like the COH games or even wargame red dragon still have a small community but they are still active nonetheless.
Red dragon is filled with memes and people still wait for wargame 4 even after 2 steel division games but that is another story.

IF IT WAS A BAD GAME YOU WOULDN'T BE HERE POSTING ABOUT IT WITH US NOW WOULD YA
Did you see SPUF in its final hours? 75% of the posters hadn't even launched tf2 in the last 4 months. Some people just can't leave communities or games behind while still disliking it.
No one hates tf2 in this thread.
not sure why the words "dislike" and "hate" get thrown around when it's not relevant the least. The ones that aren't bothered with tf2 don't post in tf2 threads.
It's possible to love the game and hate valve's decaying support at once, believe it or not.
It's not about criticizing Valve, feel free to do so, but complaining with strawmen about player numbers seems like a waste of time to me.
I'm not being optimistic at all. I'm feeling nothing. Valve fucking sucks in the areas TF2 fans want them to improves, they're fucking atrocious at game maintaining and communication. Their balance is laughable
and brainless. They mislead and twist words to keep people holding on to the hope this game will get a Heavy update. Get mad not pessimistic.
So we shouldn't be realistic about our situation? Doing so is considering obnoxiously pessimistic?
You can be realistic without being pessimistic. TF2 has two years of updates at best left, but they were a hell of a time.
Why exactly negativity is better than positivity? I saw people on the Internet saying their opinion wins, pretty much just because that opinion is negative.
How is that possible? The reality of the situation appears to be dire, especially for someone like me that has been holding on to hope that Heavy would receive some love after nearly seven years of nerfs and a lot of nothing.
They're saying the event runs through November 14th, so there's still time.
There are a lot of things in life that tend to contradict the other in scenarios you'd think are rather silly for it to happen in the first place.
Take for instance my ever increasing disappointment with the game and its lack of updates, balance changes, and general bug fixes. But then I look at my casual rank and wonder what the fuck it is that keeps me coming back.

Oh wait a minute... Its the potential the game has and the hope that my cries of anguish get heard.
how the fuck do you even get to tier 3 and up
set up a server wide point farming scheme?
Very good remake of the Team Fortress Comic #1.

Eeeeh, the voicework leaves a LOT to be desired.
Better than nothing.
You can be pessimistic, but at least try to inject some discussion encouragement from it. Just saying "Nobody cares about the game anymore Valve is a shit company" can be as true as possible. Doesn't mean discussion is going to naturally be birthed from such a comment.
People come to the thread to talk about TF2. If they open it up for a new post alert and all they see is somebody going "Ugh. Can't believe the game is still dead," they're not gonna have anything to discuss. Even if the game does die (which is incredibly unlikely - if CS Source could live for as long as it did without updates, then a game like TF2 that has had 10+ years of content added could live until Valve themselves shut the servers down), it's not like the world is over. The game is fun, but there are hundreds of thousands of other games out there to play.
Nobody told me that strange count transfers are worthless. I unboxed one and was happy for as long as I though that would be a good sale on on steam market.
fuck valve tf2 is dead something something player counts

fuck
tbh I'm going to be livid if the game's balance stops here, with spy and heavy in their current states
Heavy has the perfect line for that:

So aside from the big version number jump we got last month. Which presumably was for the incoming scream fortress update, I suppose we're now back in the state of "we don't know if a new major update is coming" right?
Heavy update on smissmas, maybe?
Someone stop this madlad

inb4 the usual suspects start screaming about sniper nerfs

man there's taking the bait and then there's this
