No, you don't understand. I want to make a point, here. No one. FUCKS. with. my. hat.
I stopped wearing them for a good chunk of the game for this reason alone, one shot and your hat is on the floor and you need to pick it back up, except sometimes you can't so easily do so, or other times you can't because it was during a mission and a cutscene played and now your hat belongs to the void or some shit. I'm aware you can just get it back off your horse but it's just a minor amount of pissing about I can completely avoid.
Most annoying part about hats is if they get a hole in them its there forever, even if you switch hats it will put a hole in the new hat in the same spot, only cutscenes where your hat is removed can fix it
Good thing is you know you're doing good and you're being badass if you still got your hat on after long gunfights. I love the way hats work, reminds me of the old Indiana Jones games where getting hit would knock it off and you had to retrieve it.
I just can't get into hunting and fishing because it's simply not profitable. pristine pelts go for like 2$, sell some other claw or horn for 50c. I make more money looting a random corpse. What's the incentive, other than hats, few accessories and camp cosmetics? Yea some of this stuff is cool but overall it doesn't motivate me to hunt. I'm not saying it's shit, just that it's not as profitable or rewarding as I have hoped. Maybe I'm mistaken, since I haven't done much of it. But I swear I never got anymore than around 2$ by hunting an animal.
Wish you could hitch a wagon to your horse to carry more carcasses/pelts.
Epilogue part 1: When John went to shoot the Laramie boys and a remaster of the rdr 1 combat music played, I lost my shit They're layering on the nostalgia thick and I love it
Think of it more as a side activity to do to chill out and earn a bit of legal money on the side. Don't forget there's usually,2-4+ bits of an animal you can sell, carcass, pelt, meat and horns/teeth if they have any. Right now, a freshly killed, whole prong horn buck carcass would net me $7 at the valentine butcher. Skinning it and selling the skin, carcass and meat netted me $7.9
seems like a bit of a stretch but would you think there might be a chance of them remastering the entirety of RDR1 as DLC for RDR2? i feel like it'd be a hell of an experience to be able to do everything again but in this super beefed up game engine.
Epilogue part 2 This game is now Ranch Simulator 2018. Doing the chores also gives you dead eye experience and positive honour.
Yeah I quite like that to be honest, doesn't half break away from the rest of the game.
For those of you who beat the game, without giving any spoilers, have any of you explored Tall Trees where Dutch's future last hideout will be?
Hunting is more for crafting outfits, trinkets, and talismans. It's not really meant to be a money maker.
Big story spoilers Money being pointless I feel is actually a fairly cool diagetic aspect to the storytelling since a large part of the narrative is how throwing money at your problems doesn't really fix things, not to mention the gang's general obsession with it. Buying everything in the camp is time consuming and, even with some of the more profitable missions like Bill's bank job, you still hardly have enough to pull it off and in the end it hardly matters: people are still miserable, Dutch is still a psychopath, and you're still being hunted down. It isn't the money you're supposed to take away from hunting. It's that it's a much more calm and wholesome way of life than shooting people for cash.
And I’ve beaten the game
What do you feel
Emotions. Happiness, sadness
Yup, sounds about right.
Post-Epilogue spoilers You can find Pearson in Rhodes, like you see in the end credits.
AFAIK you can also meet Mary-Beth and Tilly. Would be sick if you could run into everyone who survived.
Bit unfair if you ask me, the trapper set me up https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/109685/a6631c3f-87d5-4ba0-b1b1-a2e97affef71/09-11-2018_19-48-20.mp4
There's nothing there.
Does finishing the main story + epilogue have any effect on starting a new game?
When I started my second playthrough, I somehow had the camera from the beginning of the game. As far as I know, you're supposed to get it from that stranger mission in Valentine, which I had finished on my first playthrough. I didn't notice anything else so far though. Could've been just a bug.
If it was a Glitch it's a Glitch that I also encountered.
Does anyone know how low your honor can be without missing any of the optional honor missions? At least the ones required for the achievement.
I had that at the start of my first play through, so it’s probably some sort of oversight on their part
"Isn't there a schoolyard you can scrap in?"
The dog in camp is walking around with an injured leg and whimpering with no way for me to help it
Finally caved in and bought a damn PS4 pro to play this game (among others of course). Should be delivered Saturday/later this morning.👌 Any tips or suggestions going in?
