Armadillo Bank has an interior modelled, but there doesn’t seem to be a way to get inside.
Today I met a shady, supposed Mexican cartographer who offered me a stranger quest, but the whole deal sounded so damn fishy that I decided to attempt my first robbery ever. The problem is that I let the Mexican escape. Is his side quest now lost forever to me on my current playthrought or will I be able to "recover it" somehow later, even if I made the related NPC hostile?
Most likely for the inevitable RDR Online heists.
Or maybe... single-player DLC. *Take-two executives laughing in the background*
So shop keepers won't respawn if you blow their head off with a shotgun, they will respawn if you just shoot them, or set them on fire.
I think all he does is give you the first treasure map for a treasure hunt. There's not a real quest, it's only an introduction to treasure hunting. I guess you could just ask for the first treasure location / google it and grab the treasure so you don't miss anything? Don't know if you can pick it up without the map though.
Fun fact about the mexican cartographer If you decline the offer the first time he gets desperate and cuts the price in half
Easter Egg Stuff: So that new UFO that was found, if you loot the dead body under where it was, you get a medallion with the Epsilon Logo on it from GTA5 https://www.reddit.com/r/reddeadmysteries/comments/9w7581/new_ufo_found/
Any treasure maps you miss can be bought from a fence later on, so don't worry if you fuck up an encounter.
So I just gave a beggar in Saint Denis 25 cents and he gave me something in return, but it didn't pop up any item received things and there's nothing new in the "latest" section of my satchel. Anyone know what's that about?
It's usually a health cure or similar. You were probably just holding the max of them so it didn't give you one.
Yeah, that was exactly the "cue" I took to decide it was all a ruse, hence the robbery attempt. I swear, this game is making me downright paranoid.
Most of the time, I'll just be nice to everyone. Worst case scenario, I can just shoot them if they try to rob me.
What I noticed is anyone who needs help usually sounds inconvenienced at best and frustrated at worst. But people who fake it are extremely melodramatic about it. Someone who actually needs help: "ah damn it. Sir! You mind giving me a ride into town? I seem to have lost my way. Jackass trying to rob me: "Sir! Sir please you have to help me ! I'm absolutely begging you please for the love of God help me!" I usually let them try to rob me and I hogtie all of em, steal their shit and leave em. Unless it's a hold up by a gang in which case I drop them before they have a chance to react.
So. Seems they're recycling the Alien dlc that was originally planned for GTA 5 and instead implement it into Red Dead Redemption 2. Quite honestly i prefer that instead of having it in GTA 5. Due to how shit the characters are in comparison to RDR 2.
I would be a-ok with a Cowboys vs Aliens-inspired DLC
Fucking explode people with Alien spess wrist gun. Turn your local bandit into a could of blood.
Super big spoilers you should only read once you finished the epilogue: I gotta say, I loved Dutch throughout the game. I never really finished RDR1, so I didn't know he was going to be the huge villain. I actually went in thinking he was this nice mentor guy who tragically dies partway through the story and then Arthur would take over It actually got me when he turned fucking insane in the end and it made me pretty sad in a way. Loved that he finally fucking shot Micah at the end of the epilogue. People understandably seem to really hate him, but I still think he's... kinda awesome? In a way you like villains though, not as a person. He's a damn good villain I think.
Epilogue He's an insanely charismatic villain. Going through the game, you can totally understand why it takes so long for Arthur and John to give up on him. His devolution into madman is interesting to watch. I loved Dutch so much, especially his voice. Give me those voice cracks, baby
Is it weird to get frustrated that the animal with the word "Sheep" in its name yields ram hide? I wanted to avoid killing actual livestock but I have to anyway for a vest might as well kill two birds with one stone
Big end of chapter 4/beginning of chapter 5 spoilers Fuck man, Hosea and Lenny's deaths hit me hard. Two of the coolest guys in the gang and they both get unceremoniously gunned down pretty much back to back. It's all downhill from here I guess Also, how long is the island section? I just did the mission where you save the workers, is the Dutch mission the only one left before we leave?
After the mission where you shoot a bunch of people, after the other mission where you shoot a bunch of people to save someone, that's when you leave.
Honestly most of the story missions felt like shooting galleries, but I kinda liked that because I think the shooting feels good and satisfying. I also did a lot of other stuff in between the story that wasn't as intense, so by the time I did do a story mission with a bunch of shooting, it felt like I earned it.

Found both a Rose Gray Arabian and this Gold horse in Chapter 2. Even though the Rose Gray is the fastest horse in the game, I'm gonna stuck with Goldie cause that gold coat is so nice. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/1751/ab718f5f-c44c-4c74-a2d6-6b52804b0521/image.png
I stuck with the same horse the entire game
That is a nice coat, I'd probably do the same thing to be honest. Unless it's stats are shite.
Easter Eggs RIP that new UFO was fake https://www.reddit.com/r/reddeadmysteries/comments/9wp1jk/a_fake_ufo/
The shooting in RDR2 feels a lot like Max Payne 3 which is a very good thing. More than I can say about GTA V's subpar shooting mechanics.
I was trying to do so, I'm on Chapter 3, got attacked by bounty hunters last night and one of the bastards killed him.
