Activating Dead Eye instantly reloads your weapon though, not sure if fast reflexes can do that In all seriousness, I learned through playing hardcore realism games/mods that all video games need to bounce of the suspension of disbelief a couple of times to be fun. It's not necessarily about consistency, just enjoyment. It reminds me of those stories about making really smart AI for video games and how it's pretty easy for the AI to outsmart the the player and make it really difficult to progress so they dumb it down a lot of the times.

I still wonder how Limpany has not rotted away after all those years.
Finished chapter 6 (SPOILERS) "I gave you all I had...I did..." Fuck that line got me. That entire ending got me close to crying several times. I chose to help John escape over taking the money. Probably the easiest choice I've ever had to make in a game lmao. Watched the take the money ending on Youtube and it's definitely less satisfying, although it's nice that you get to slash Micah's face. I'm also glad I did an honorable playthrough because there's no way I'm letting Arthur die by getting shot by Micah Speaking of Micah, I've never been more excited to beat up a fictional character than I was with him. They did a great job at making you hate him. Same goes with Dutch. I honestly was willing to look past some of the terrible things he did in previous chapters just because he was so charismatic, but once chapter 6 hit I lost all sympathy for him. I'm just glad Arthur dies content. His whole character arc was just so well done. That gradual change from being another one of Dutch's loyal enforcers to a man who uses the time he has left to ensure the people he loves have a chance at a future was powerful to watch. I can see now why people prefer him to John; John didn't really change or develop at all throughout RDR1 until the very end (although, to be fair, he almost gets as much development in this game as Arthur does) Also I decided to use Buell as my main horse for the rest of the game and of course he dies too. I'm sorry, Hamish
How am I suppose to properly kill rabbits without getting a shit pelt? I'm currently using small game arrows to kill them.
Rabbits are varmint rifle, not small game arrows.
I used that as well before using small game arrows.
Head shots. It's tough as shit, but necessary. I had the same problem with beavers, which are 5% head, 95% ass.
I’m just appreciative that you can blast Legendary animals to bits and not ruin the pelt. So yeah, that means I can bite right into that 95% beaver ass
To be honest, plenty of times I've just blasted a rabbit without really aiming and gotten perfect pelts plenty of times. Though at this point it could be the buck trinket giving me some leniency.
Epilogue spoilers It really sucks that we can't get John's actual hairstyle. The closest I can get to his RDR1 look is with the right parted hair at length 6 and the beard at length 3, but it still looks off. It's really weird since the thumbnails when you go to save or load show him with the classic hairstyle, but in game he only has the same options as Arthur. I guess there's a chance they could patch it in someday but I doubt it
Happened a few weeks ago but I wanted to share this little experience https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=frnMtq4FQAU
When if RDR2 comes on PC I wonder how difficulty will be handled. Because I have seen players fumble and fall while having three enemies shooting point blank and the player still making it out alive. Seems a bit too lenient and it'll only get worse when playing it at 60fps with mouse aiming means that one will be able to pull off shots accurate twitch shots manually, like what deadeye is meant to emulate. Was planning on playing it with the steam controller, the trackpad of which is far more superior to a gamepad stick, whilst giving the smooth character control and soft triggers of a gamepad.
Kill the legendary buck, go to the fence, make the buck trinket. It has a chance of making "Good" bodies, give "Perfect" pelts. Along with making it so you can shoot three stars anywhere on the body (of small animals) with a varmint rifle and it'll keep perfect pelt. Legendary buck trinket + Improved arrows will one hit kill most larger animals with a body shot and keep perfect pelts.

Are there any places to play Blackjack outside of Blackwater?
Rhodes has blackjack, as far as I remember

Im excited just create my character :v Itd be nice if they have good character cusomization this time, instead of the "what the fuck are you doing" style picking-your-grandparents method Something like Skyrim or even Saints Row level customization would be nice And acquiring some slick outfits is already good motivation to rob trains and hunt bountys Also my two best buddies got this game so we'll be playing a 3 man posse The part Im least excited for is other players :v I hope rocksfar actually figured out something to cripple griefers, because god there's a lot of them in GTA Online
While I'm growing more and more attached to Arthur the more I play and discover his backstory, and the same could be said for nearly all gang members, I really can't understand what the writers were going for with Dutch, to be honest. Supposedly, this prequel should show us the carismatic, extremely cunning outlaw with good intentions Dutch was before he became the deranged, empty shell of a man he is at the time of his death in Red Dead Redemption. However, from the very beginning of Red Dead Redemption II Dutch is portrayed as a man who is just not all there. He's always vague as shit about everything he says or does, seems to do stuff without any rime or reason and ask people around him if they still think he's cool and trusteworthy compulsively. I mean, I know that the Blackwater fiasco must had affected him deepely, but it's really telling that my own character looks and acts like the de facto leader of the gang while Dutch appears to be the silly mad bastard a pack of criminals would have around just for laughs
We're in the "shits starting to break down" phase in rdr2 rather than a full everything's hunky dory phase. The paint is starting to peel and crack.
This soundtrack is the fucking shit. I can't wait for a proper release. [sp] The House Building Theme and See the Fire in your Eyes are fucking lit [/sp]
Speaking of soundtracks, Epilogue spoilers https://youtu.be/2VGyYTo9aAQ (This song is from Red Dead Redemption 1) https://youtu.be/j8068ZrwicQ?list=PLLH8sgqaTeYpfT3sb2BVDlgrsoRWj6Mxd
The fact that, during the event of the side quest Money Lending & Other Sins III, I did nothing but threaten the target of the quest, no beating whatsoever, and yet the following cutscene, all the characters involved reactions and Arthur's own journal act like I mauled him via fists pisses me off more than it possibly should, especially in a game so obsessed with details. It also doesn't help that, as I unfortunately spoiled myself, apparently [ENDGAME SPOILER I GUESS] beating that guy made Arthur catch his disease, tuberculosis, which could be the deciding factor in his future death by the end of the game, which could mean a forced choice on the player for main story purposes
There's nothing more satisfying than taking a Rolling Block Rifle with Express Rounds and blasting the fucking shite out of everything. I imagine Explosive Rounds to blast them in a mist would be even better though.
Question regarding something in chapter 5: My brother caught up to where Arthur finds out he's sick and was telling me how he saw the wolf walked down the street in the fever dream Arthur had....except when I had played, it was a buck deer walking down the road. Is this subjective to your honor? Because his is just below halfway and mine is almost max honorable.
Welp, I just had quite a dandy little venture. So I heard from a drunk beggar in Saint Denis that he lost all his money gambling in an backroom gambling den, and being the “entrepreneurial” man I am, I go to check it out. So I head into the gun store and “persuade” them to let me see. I “convince” a second gent to point me further to said establishment. I hear in, see the bouncer and he pulls a gun on me, so I shot him several times in self defense. I then walk up to the table to “play a hand” and won the whole pot! Lucky me! Well, after making it big at Texas Hold Up—er, “Hold ‘Em”, I’m alerted to lawmen investigating my “self defense” noises, so I quickly jump out the window, snap a few unneeded bones, and climb on my horse while said lawmen start shooting at me! Needless to say, St. Denis sucks at escape routes thanks to busy streets and my horse careens into a parked cart, sending me flying, head over heel, and landing face first into the brick road. After a graceful recovery, I book it, trying my best to improvise. Then suddenly: Train. I hop on the stopping train, bash the conductor’s noggin, take the controls and floor it!! I actually managed to escape!... Until miscellaneous patrolling lawmen see me, face obscuring bandanna and all, slamming lever-to-the-metal and chase me down! I ended up sneaking out the other side, running through swamp muck and made my final escape into a nearby trading hub. All in all, made $50, got a $225 Bounty and I think my $900~ horse is still bleeding out in St. Denis. Shit. But hey, that was a ton of fun!
I just want word from Rockstar on when we can expect online to launch. As far as features go, I really hope you can play all the minigames against other people. I'm itchin to play poker and blackjack with other people and then have it devolve into a saloon shootout.
Epilogue/Post-Game So there are journal entries and audio lines recorded for Arthur for things you can only do and find New Austin. Which makes me wonder if you were originally suppose to be allowed to go there as Arthur.
