It's probably more for that one guy who's daring enough to go to New Austin and complete quests despite the dead or alive status you have in that place. Allow it, rather then have a fuck-you text box saying "Come back when you beat the game!"
I laughed my ass off the first time I tried to go to New Austin. As soon as I crossed the border, a squad of bounty hunters showed up and filled me with bullets. I was dead in less than 5 seconds, they didn't miss a shot.

So i beat the epilogue, amd I was going to clean up side stuff. However, it appears there are two I didnt do as Arthur that I now cannot finish; serial killer and rescuing the Braithewait girl. Any others?

That'd be kinda stupid. Like not that they're selling DLC - I'd totally love an expansion pack - but that it would focus on what happened in Blackwater.
It's really supposed to be like the movie Resovoir Dogs. You need to piece together what happened from character interactions and Arthurs journal. Hell, Sean is thought to be dead when the game starts but you later rescue him.

Hey guys am I going to be able to keep doing all of the side stuff post game? I really want to finish the story but I still want to go treasure hunting and whatnot. I'm on chapter 4 if that means anything.
There will be side quests you cannot return to after the main story yes. I recommend doing all activities for the characters in camp too.
I named my horse Ludwig. Should I ever lose him or have him die on me, I'll name the successor Ludwig II, Ludwig III and so on.

Game, can you please not do the exploding wagon ambush every fucking time I'm coming back from a hunting trip with a deer and two birds strapped to my horse,the getting quite annoying having to pick them up and out them back on my horse after getting shot to shit cause my horse threw me. Almost as bad as getting my horse stuck in an endless loop of panic in the bayou, where when I finally do calm and mount my horse, you immediately run me into the tiniest protrusion on the bridge I'm trying to cross, throwing me into the water on top of a fucking gator and I'm back to square one and the only way to get my horse away from that area is ride it out cause it's panicking too damn much to run over to me itself.
Can't you just not go near the Wagon though?

Spent about 30 minutes trying to solve this conundrum I am in. Very start of the game, but spoiler warning, I guess.
So I killed the legendary bear right after my mission with Hosea. Then I proceeded to get shot and killed by some random guy I agitated and lost the pelt. I had saved after I completed the mission (Exit Pursued by a Bruised Ego), but before I killed the bear. I loaded that save - the bear is no longer there, and neither are the clues. But the bear has not yet been killed. What the fuck do I do now? Come back in a couple of days?
If you die while owning a legendary pelt, I believe it automatically goes to the trapper.
Takes a while to respawn, I had a thing where I didn't kill the legendary coyote and it wouldn't show up in the area for a few days.
Also, if you lose the legendary pelt, either by being killed, or dropping it on the ground for too long, you'll get a message saying the pelt has been lost, but you can go to the trapper anyway and it'll be there
Thanks for the info! Yeah, I know that stuff about the trapper. I just wanted the satisfaction of taking the pelt to him on my own. I guess I will visit after a few days then.
