Ending super spoiler response: Yeah I was really hoping that'd be at least the high honor ending with the saving John ending on top of that. It'd give a sort of nice thematic reward for players who played Arthur as the polar opposite of Micah.
I screwed up robbing the backdoor business of the gunshop in St Denis. For some reason it wouldn't allow me to threaten the poker players fast enough to rob the safe. The choice to threaten/question was grayed out until the cops arrived, and by then I was in a fire fight. The safe opened anyway but I couldn't take money out of it for some reason and I had to run. Is there any way to replay it? I only made out with $50
Literally did the same thing so any help would be great haha
Chapter 6 spoilers So since the game allows you to skip on Strauss' debt missions, how does the game explain Arthur catching Tuberculosis if you never come into contact with the old man who had it ? It's by beating him up that you catch the thing after all.
Same thing here. Red Dead Redemption 2, more like cowboy dress up simulator Sidenote did you have a different username on oldpunch? I recognize your avatar for some reason but I don't know why
Why. Why does auto ride run into people
I hate the horses in this game. I just bought a new horse and one hour later it decided to run in front of a train and die because I had just left it by the side of the road.
It isn't too hard to do Clint Eastwood from Unforgiven https://i.pinimg.com/originals/10/15/a3/1015a3dacd0a2bc094885a6084b3f14d.jpg https://www.bfi.org.uk/sites/bfi.org.uk/files/styles/full/public/image/unforgiven-1992-002-clint-eastwood-morgan-freeman.jpg?itok=jwfE2YyY Or even Pale Rider https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-RBxbKFKQ7xs/WgtMoy8y3oI/AAAAAAAAYpo/FdDZVb_HJVwXKZX5NN72NMA8JyvvtU71ACLcBGAs/s1600/Pale-Rider-1985-6.jpg At least you can get pretty close. Considering this RDR2 is very much a revisionist western, it's easier if you start looking at classic examples from that subgenre.
Just finished the game, and I loved everything about it... Except the gameplay on missions themselves. Holy shit rockstar, can you just give me a few combat missions that ARENT shooting galleries.

Alright no, this wanted system is fucked. I committed a crime in a town I had never fucking been to in disguise and people recognized me
So I was at the south of New Austin, overlooking the river. I see on the other side some buildings over in Mexico. Now, I know technically Mexico isn't part of the map... but I have now made it my mission to get there. Wish me luck!
So, I was on a train as a part of a side quest, which ended up rolling through Saint Denis, and it managed run down several people on the way through (it also clipped through some parts of the scenery, so I'm guessing it's a wider model than the regular trains), and gave me a bounty for multiple murders in the process! Got a nice pistol out of it though
why tf does Kieran Duffy look so damn much like Tony Hawk

Update: Holy fuck I did it

I have no idea what they're going to do with Red Dead Online to get people to dish out money without immediately breaking the setting
Just had this happen to me, except it was in a forest near the top of the map. The hanging body has a letter on it if you shoot it down too I just love all the creepy shit you can find. The serial killer side mission (still haven't found his hideout), the hillbilly pig farmers, etc
The game has its flaws but I think that as far as its story goes, it has to be one of the best narratives I've ever experienced in my life in any piece of entertainment, video game or otherwise. It's a triumphal story that takes full advantage of its interactive medium but which also actively transcends this particular perk of video games and strives on flawless execution, characterization and development. Everything feels like it exists for a reason, nothing is meaningless. Arthur is singlehandedly one of the most likable, sympathetic, realistic and human characters I've seen in any story. If I had to make a quick and dirty analogy I'd say this is as close as a video game can get to something like Breaking Bad.
Geographically this tunnel is just south of Agave Viejo in RDR1, it's where the train goes through. Up on the left is where the village would usually be. Again this part of the Mexico-terrain is actually obscured and can't be seen, reinforcing the theory that Rockstar either completely reused the RDR1 terrain, or they are rebuilding it as well for something in the future. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/110384/daf8fa86-5c70-40a7-9fcb-b5402f40c2f8/image.png
Oh, that's just the skybox.
Yeah but fuck the entire swamp area in general. I can deal with all the creepy shit but seriously fuck the Alligators that are all over the god damn place.
The structures have new textures. Unless those exact models are also used in New Austin somewhere.
Most of Mexico has ill-alligned or even wrong textures, yet many places still have clearly visible roads https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/110384/8eb38857-69c9-44f1-ac7d-214f6b2b672c/image.png What I'm thinking is when porting the area over they decided to skip the textures and just apply the new high-res ones, and the texture-blending largely survived because, well, it should. Assuming they still had their source files. As for El Presidio itself, I'm, thinking this is the LOD-model that was used in RDR1, which then also means LOD-quality textures. You wouldn't see these up close, and you aren't supposed to see them up close now either, so they look" new" when really they're probably just as old as the terrain. I forgot to take a picture, but there was some interior of the fortress as well, some railing and a pair of wooden doors. The railing had the exact same texture they do in their corresponding places in RDR1, except slightly lower res.
