I honestly doubt they're gonna wipe progress at all, I also doubt they're really gonna make the grind less shit.
great show btw if anyone's into westerns do yourself a favor and watch this one
If this is the grind as it's going to be for the games lifetime, I won't be much more than a casual player.
I feel like when the choices are "pour money into this game" or "grind for 100s of hours", it's best to just enjoy what aspects of the game you can and forget about the top-tier stuff because it simply isn't worth it
i feel like my time with this will go exactly how GTA:O went: I spend a couple of days playing through what's available that isn't just random deathmatch games, and then never play the online mode ever again because of other games coming out.
Does anyone know what determines your starting location in Online?
I started near Tumbleweed, brother started near Valentine and friend started near Rhodes.
When I made my new char it started near Tumbleweed again.
I've heard you start near tumbleweed if your gay
Can you make a second character like in GTA: Online or just one?
So basically me and my friend went to this house, got drunk on an infinite box of beer, and when some guy tried to kill us we role played the hills have eyes and tied him up and threw him on the bed while asking him is he preferred the infinite blackness of death or a dick in his asshole.
"can you retrieve the wagon? I'll pay ya handsomely"
fuck off will you, you'll give me $3 and a single gold nugget you prick
Cheater, his deadeye meter never went down
I'll start near tumbleweed if my gay, my gay does what? What the fuck did he do this time?

i know its a beta but
END GAME SPOILERS AHEAD, DON'T GET SPOILED LIKE I DID.
Can you go back to playing Arthur, or should I ride this out?
Nope, you'll just have to load an earlier save if you want that.
Fuck. That's a huge bummer, because I've been trying to rush through the story to avoid being spoiled, but I don't want to start all over to do the sidequests.
Yeah, I think you can only go back to replay story missions after you're done with the epilogue. Not side quests an such
Getting gunned down by randos is beginning to get on my nerves.
On the plus side I found out when someone is trying to get you hogtied, you can just flip over an shank them.
PSN is Dubeard for anyone interested in playing tonight or over the weekend.
My joy was immeasurable when i realized that my tagging deadeye ability worked on players in freeroam
They might have killed me and my horse, but those scumfuck gangbangers got a few of themselves and their horses shot dead when they tried to follow me riding a scrawny nag
Got into a shootout with another griefng player at tumbleweed, and boy was it fun, smart use of cover, a quick check on the minimal and some good trickery let me kill him several times. I first stayed in cover while he ran round the side of the barn a couple of times, easily killing him, then he managed to hunker down, staying in cover, not moving. So I came up with a cunning plan, my horse was at full health so I called it over, making it look like I was gonna run away from the stalemate, but instead ran behind my horse and past it, shooting him when he came out of cover expecting me to mount my horse.
Personally, I think hunting is the way to go to grind money, yeah it is a grind, but as long as you can get good quality or above animals, you can make like $20 in as much or less time as it'd take you to do a death match or any other non story activity. Currently got a bow (124) set up a posse (200) and paid for a couple of smaller things, right now grinding a bit to get a hooefully warmer jacket so I can go into the cold more for bigger game,it sucks though as in the catalogue it doesn't tell you the weather for the clothing so it's a guess, that and lots of clothing is behind silly high level locks.
Initially, I kind of avoided the PvP stuff, but I finally decided to give it a try, and man, it's fun as fuck compared to GTA. The quick movement and stuff reminds me of Uncharted's multiplayer a bit.
If a player kills your horse in online, is it permanently dead like in SP?
This will probably be the crux of whether I decide to join MP or not.
No, you just have to get it back at the stable which is still kind of a pain in the ass. Especially in New Austin where the only stable is in Tumbleweed.
After doing the story missions online so far, there isn't really anything to hold my interest in the online at the moment. I hate the PvP because lock on makes it cheap as fuck and no skill or tactics are required, the stranger missions are boring and pay like shit, and everyone wants to kill you for no reason. I think I'm gonna stop playing and see if it improves.
Breaking free of someone when they grab you seems glitchy as fuck. Some guy was trying to stab me, and I broke free, but he still somehow slit my throat. What was I supposed to do there???
At least you get a nag to call to get you there, better than walking
I wouldn't mind the online modes if the auto aim was just an assist like most games have, rather than an aim bot, also I hate the domination/flag capture mode, who thought 4 teams of what I assume is 4 players was a good idea, it just turns into a mess
completely agreed. showdown is really fun, and it's a lot better than "square, flick, R2, square, flick, R2, square, flick, R2 the game"
Having a Team Deathmatch on that battlefield near Rodes is fun as fuck. Felt like I was in an actual freaking war movie when other players used the cannons and Maxim guns whilst we were crouch-running through the trenches, taking out the occasional enemy who tried to jump us at corners.
Game keeps crashing when I play online.
Went to barber, was looking through hair, and it crashed.
Was trying to take a picture using the camera and it crashed.
