Remind me which character's mauve coloured again?
Uhh, Spyro?
The dragon from Shrek 1.
That is one of the most believable things to ever hear Sans had did.
I was genuinely startled when I walked up there and saw him. I feel like I can't trust him to not at least have some idea what the hell's going on, especially with the way he says he only just arrived and doesn't know anyone. He's inherently suspicious.
sans boned our mom, now our dad is living alone in the attic of a flower shop, you do the math
we got fucking cucked by sans undertale
God I just got to Mettaton EX.
Jesus, and I thought Muffet was hard.
You know I started college with Undertale. Seems appropriate that Deltarune comes out as I'm getting closer to graduating. It's like the friend that's been by your side all these years, even if you sometimes forget to call they still remember to.
What I'm trying to say is that no franchise has ever made me feel so genuinely happy before. Every time I see a bit of gameplay, hear a bit of song, or see a meme about Sans Undertale I can't help but smile. I smile because this is the game that has helped me get through one of the most important milestones of my life. And I'm glad Facepunch is still around so I can talk about these feelings with all of you.
sans screwing kris' mom is the ultimate revenge for killing him in a genocide run
Kind of vindicating to learn that I was playing the entire game at like over double speed due to some bug, so all the crap that I thought I was just bad at dodging was just the game making itself way harder because of bugs. Still never died proper but Ralsei got his shit kicked in repeatedly. However it did mean the ending music was cutoff about 15 seconds in, which is less great.
I wanna see someone fight jevil on the 60fps bug
I'm still wondering what the fuck that last expresion is.
I mean, I can completely relate to Kris when someone makes that face at me, but I'm still unsure of what the fuck.
I interpret it as ultra smugness.
I've already seen sentiment that's basically in the jist of "Oh you don't need to play the first one, this one is a different game and much better anyways."
Seems pretty unfair to me, maybe Undertale isn't as polished as this demo that took 3+ years to make, but the story is still one-of-a-kind, swept awards, and took tons of people by surprise for a reason.

Deltarune has the better memes though.
The atmosphere is also completely different. UT threw you into a world of magic and fantasy with a weird blend of modern technology and medieval monarchy government structure. Once you get out of the dark world in DR its just... monsters in a slice of life setting with a town hall, people with regular jobs, a school, a hospital. Maybe this was my own fault but I wasn't as invested in the dark world storyline because I knew at some point I would be coming back to the overworld which is where all of the answers I want questions I had were. UT's story (and the music) was why I put with simple, minimalist game mechanics.
I don't think that Deltarune is significantly more mechanically complex or polished than Undertale right now. I think it's only marginally more mechanically developed at the moment due to layering the party system on, is graphically prettier, and because it's built on the back of Undertale. I think people are suffering from the new-and-shiny effect if they think it's blowing Undertale away in every regard.
I find it funny how when the motivational music and cut-scenes started in DeltaRune, my feeling wasn't like my first time in Undertale at all. It felt like something was really wrong and it was all an "act". This is all because of my previous context of Undertale. If I never played the game I don't think I would have had that feeling playing at all.
Deltarune feels very much like Majora's Mask compared to Ocarina of Time
I feel like there's a constant theme of " Remember the magic of Undertale? Here's some more magic" And it feels wrong, but it's done intentionally. Once you get back to the light world everything just feels wrong, and the game expects you to ask stuff about Undertale (Undyne about Alphys, remembering Sans) just to go "What are you talking about?" It's such a good way to make you feel off by bringing you around familiar people who are technically complete strangers.
i played the whole game at 60fps and just thought it was how it was supposed to be
i didnt realize it was a bug until i alt+tabbed after the final battle to respond to a message and when i was back in game it was running at the correct speed
