What is "your game"? The game that you've always come back to? Or replay?

Max Payne 3
How has this level of shooting not been implemented in more games???
L4D2
Horde combat done right. Also the gore is mind-blowingly great
Euro Truck Simulator 2
I'm tired of cutting corners and the dick measuring contest of regular racing games. It's cooler to use turn signals and sit in traffic while listening to a local radio station. If the regular traffic genre became more popular it could help young drivers get better orientated in irl driving.
Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
I enjoy making ROM hacks of it. I made a list of all hacks ever released.
Deus Ex
Every few months a Deus ex meme will pop up and I'm reminded of how brilliant the game is so I go and play through the whole thing again. That game is the closest we've ever gotten to a perfect game, its brilliant in so many different ways.
I have like some 200-250 hours on Half-Life 1's singleplayer across HL:S, HL1 Vanilla and Half-Payne. Alongside that are Battle Brothers and Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory. I've been playing Wolf ET for 15 years, I ain't stopping now.
I used to play Hitman Blood Money ALLLL the fucking time since it came out, but as of a couple years ago I think I've played it so many times that I've sucked the fun dry and I actually can't even enjoy it anymore aside from maybe once a year. I always need an all gun attachments all collected guns pro save on my computer or the feng shui at my computer is off.
Planetside
Modded Minecraft
Spore
And Terraria, oh man Terraria.
Infact, imma go play Terraria right now.
Doom 2, Red Alert, EvE Online, and Minecraft
Doom 2 and Minecraft for those times you just wanna mindlessly blast through shit or relax and be occupied (I'll let you decide which game is for which) Red Alert for the classic RTS that never seems to age, and EvE Online keeps me coming back because of the complexity and danger
I don't really have any games like that, tbh. My time is so limited that I'd rather play something new.
Warframe
Left 4 Dead 2 - It's just simple zombie shooting co-op fun, and doesn't take too long to drop in and out of games.
Rocket League - Every now and then I'll just go on a month-long binge. It's just one of those games where it's easy to pick up, and extremely challenging to master. It's a game of skill but there's no pressure put on a player unlike other skill-based games.
Burnout Paradise - It's just a comfy, dumb, feelgood racing game which never gets old. I replay it every 2 years or so and have a blast.
Honourable mentions go out to Team Fortress 2 which I slowly got burnt out on after 3500~ hours, and Tribes: Ascend which I'd play religiously today if it was still alive, no words could describe how fun that game was.
There's a lot (Civ 5/6, Skyrim, Fallout 4, Witcher 3, probably RDR 2 in the future)
but the king of them all is Half Life 1
I'm no sideways-bunnybopping-flying-fuckhead but I have practically memorized that game
Minecraft probably
First few hours was pain in the ass but its relaxing to build stuff on my cozy house listening to podcast
Sucks that world stopped working just today
TF2 and Terraria. Original choices.
Left 4 Dead 2. Expert realism never gets boring.
OpenTTD. In the recent years it's slowly fading into obscurity what with games like Factorio entering the fray, but the sole focus on trains and the amount of patches to explore is still astonishing and they still come up with some really impactful ones every so often.
Morrowind. Always will be.
People may argue in circles, forever, whether or not it's a figment of nostalgia but deep inside the game runs a vein of creative diamond. Morrowind helped me make sense of who I was, growing up in the middle of three cultures. It helped me be comfortable with the hypocrisies and contradictions in all the value systems I was supposed to stitch together on my own. It made me curious about human beings, society, about philosophy, about history, even poetry. It was a bridgehead to better things. It germinated in me and, I think, played a part in correcting my course in life a few times - I quit studying econ and biology, which I was shit at, and declared in history, which I rocked at. I love its setting so, so deeply. I love how full of riddles it is.
Team Fortress 2 - Spectacular FPS with solid gameplay, mobility and fairly good balance and weapon variety. Even with it's faults, I still find it fun to come back to.
Project M - A mod of Brawl that makes it a fast-paced competitive fighter. Combines my love of platformer movement with balance levels higher than seen in any official Smash game in the last 18 years and is a patch to one of the most editable console games since the SNES, making it easy to customize.
Megaman Legends 1 & 2. I will never get tired of replaying those excellent games. Also Resident Evil 4.
Team Fortress 2. Sometimes I return to it, despite the fact that I’m sick of this game, only because this game got me on Steam and introduced me “epic gamer world”. And because of memories of simple and good times, of course. [blink-182’s “Adam’s Song” playing in the distance]
Half-Life 2. I replayed this game so many times and in so many ways, that it became the most played single-player game of mine. This is my main source of inspiration and my main learning tool in making games.
Garry’s Mod. Talking about the game on its forum, huh? I bought this game some time after getting on Steam, and it became a proof for me, that sandbox games are fucking cool. All creative things I make, are made here. And that’s why I’m coming back to it.
Warcraft 3. I always come back for the map editor, mustom games, and sometimes just dicking around in bot melee games.
For me it's Company of Heroes 2
Hotline Miami. It always feels good to come back to. Pure adrenaline running through your veins, seeing how fast you can speedrun the levels. Such a classic.
Terraria used to be my go to game but I haven't been able to pull myself away from Rimworld.
stardew valley baby
350 hours and going strong, helps that i got into modding for it
The Dishonored franchise, I'm in love with the smooth gameplay, freedom of action and extremely interesting (and pretty) world.
Lylat Wars (Star Fox 64 for you burgers), Project M and goddamn motherfucking We Love Katamari.
Half-Life 1, I tend to play through it once a year, F.E.A.R. comes at a close second, they're both extremely satisfying to play
I wish I still have a game to return to. Now whenever I'm bored I just doodle some dumb shit or boot up word document and write.
Now I exclusively game fresh.
I tend to go back to Star Trek Online, most because space ships
TF2. It's been 11 years and the game is still going strong, though now that I don't actively play in UGC, I don't come back nearly as often.
F.E.A.R.
Sometimes I just boot it up and then later realize I’ve just done another playthrought.
