I was thinking that was the case, the thought of giving DKOK the ability to use FRFSRF is pretty delicious, especially since watch masters (sergeants, for the uninitiated) can take lasguns.
Just occurred to me that the suncannon went down points as well.
So the 'mathhammer best' wraithknight went from 570pts to 431pts, I don't care if wraithlords are still trash im going to find a way to make the "don't talk to me or my sons ever again" list work damn it
It's a cool idea, but I feel like being able to throw Take Aim on plasma or Engineers is a better use of the ability. FRFSRF is great when you can do it to your whole army; one unit, not so much. A Lord Commissar on his own almost costs as much as just taking an extra squad and having equivalent firepower to FRFSRF.
Ah I missed that. Cheers.
I finished a Deff Dread, time to paint more boyz.

It is really easy, just skrag brown thinned with AP quickshade medium and water, then applied with a slightly overloaded brush starting about the middle of a given panel and then pushing down towards the bottom.

I forgot how expensive wargaming can be.
I need another job.
That's why I reserve big purchases for tax returns.
But yeah that'd be the rest of my summer paycheck.
Honestly, first thing I need to do is find out if anyone plays this game.
In fact, does anyone here play Team Yankee, I know it's not Warhammer, but I suppose tabletop wargaming is subject enough. What's the standard point limit that people usually play?
Hobby gore incoming:
Warhammer 40k Aeldari Eldar WraithKnight | eBay
When slanesh gets a gold of a wraithknight.
I've looked at it, bought a couple tanks made for Flames of War and Team Yankee in the past just to give to my brother who likes historical tanks, but never played either. A major setback for me about getting in to pretty much any non-GW wargame is that nobody has as complete a plastic line as GW does and I hate working with metal (also rather dislike resin but it can sometimes be okay).
I find it kind of odd that GW is so plastic focused and yet they've only made one slide molded kit though since quite a few of their competitors have embraced slide molding on their own plastics.
Bolt action is pretty much all resin/plastic and the updated kits are surprisingly nice.
A lot of special vehicles are solid resin but they are actually good casts, you get an entire tank hull as a single piece with a couple metal doodads to stick on but I have no mould lines or bubbles on any of my ones.
As far as nonGW is concerned i'd rate bolt action/konflikt 47 pretty damn highly
Without a doubt, after GW I'd say Konflikt 47 is probably my largest collection, the resin quality on the walkers is really very impressive.
Eh... everything non-Troop is metal, though. You want actual HQ models? Metal. Specialized teams (Mortars, Flamers)? Also Metal. Artillery? Metal.
Meanwhile, they are slowly swapping out Resin vehicles with plastics, but they are still far behind Rubicon (who have just released plastic T-26) for me.
Look man, I play Bolt Action and 40k, but fuck man I just wanna fuck up some commies with Leopards.
I'm going to miss metal minis.
Always found them easier and more fun to paint. I like the weight of them.
Metal and Resin minitures would be fine with me if it weren't for super glue.
I hate it. It's sticky, it feels weird, just ugh.
To be honest I could never really get into 15mm scale games, I enjoy the classic Epic 40k and dipped my feet into Dropzone Commander for a bit, but for the most part I really prefer sticking to 28mm 40k, Bolt Action, and Warmachine.
I'd love to do non-GW games but nobody in my group has any interest in anything else. Only options I have are Infinity or X-Wing since there's already groups that play those in the area.
eBay has a 15% off sale going on for anything in the Toys category for the next four hours- the code is PLAYTIME15.
I got the AdMech battleforce, a Tech-Priest Dominus, trio of Kataphrons, and codex all for just under $200.
Since I already had acquired some bits, I threw together a test for my Skitarii conversion. Thoughts?

I really like a bunch of things about Dropzone commander, but I haven't really seen it take off well. That, and it's actually kinda expensive for it's scale.
I see a lot of people do the "Skitarii with GSC bodies" but tbh I've never been a fan of it.
What models are those?
For other people's reference. Scotia Grendel's Urban War line has a number of models that would go well with 40k.
