Aw, damn, those leaks sounded really cool. In particular I'd love to see Cult Ambush be something interesting like the blips from Space Hulk, and not just be a randomized deep strike. Here's hoping what GW actually releases is as interesting as those 'leaks'.
The GSC codes has likely been printed for a while now. As far as I'm aware they don't print stuff right before it gets sent out.
I picked up TWH1+2 doing the winter sale, started a Mortal Empires campaign as Mannfred von Carstein. Before too long I controlled all of Sylvania and am happily taking little bits from other factions as they become available. A town got destroyed by beastmen, so I march a lord on over to claim it. A new dwarf faction emerges? Well, they have no allies and exactly one catapult and a couple infantry so I'm happy to take that land off their hands. My current goal is to take Ostermark since they have no allies (of course the first attempt they instantly confederated with the empire so fucking assholes). But before my assault they decided to send a single lord, without any troops in his army, to sit across the border and stare directly at Mannfred von Carstein and his terrorgeists, blood knights, varghulf, and other fun friends. Either that lord is brain damage or has massive balls of steel. He's dead, but you know thanks for playing.
Also for comparison this was the warlord trait image posted to 4chan
http://pro.bols.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/received_251728508846025.jpg
and this is the 7th ed warlord traits table

The "new" traits are all identical to 7th but converted to 8th ed rules though I wouldn't put it past GW to do this for the generic traits.
Seriously, don't fuck with the Empire.
In a world (that was), they were at once the underdog and one of the most powerful factions. On all sides they were surrounded by Chaos worshippers, beastmen, undead, dwarfs whose technology
vastly outdid their own, elven magic that made their own look like child's play - and quite often, they didn't even have the numbers (seriously, it's heavily implied in the lore that the Norscans number in the millions by the time of the End Times, compared to - at best - a few hundred thousand Empire soldiers).
It's the sheer ingenuity, stubbornness, and faith in Sigmar that makes the Empire so god damn resilient, and that has allowed them to withstand any and all assaults upon them for 2k years.
Yes, but do their women have beautiful groomed beards? No? Exactly!
And that's why Dwarves.
My plan after finishing off Ostermark is to carve a line straight across to Nuln and plant a banner in it.
Can second not fucking with the empire, but that's mostly, because when I played a coop game with my brother I made an entire army of steam tanks with a supporting army of mostly rockets and a few other support units. It was glorious.
Are there any Warhammer Fantasy books that just focus on general troops of the Empire?
Karl Franz is a bitch. I have a defensive alliance with the Empire when the Dwarves declare war. Little Sigmarite weenie decides not to help out. So I'll just have to wipe out the dwarves myself.
Also this has basically been on repeat the whole time for me: Go Summon up the Dead Ones

So, looks like me and quite a few guys from our club are off to the GT this year - my goal this year is get my T'au army built and painted (with some help and advice from some of the better painters from the club) ready for our local tournament in August and Heat 3 in September. Excited but also very nervous, it'll be the first time I've really used an army outside of my Thousand Sons. My goal for both Tournaments - win at least one game If I do even better, then that's just gravy.
Just completed 20-25 hours of work over about five days in my self-inflicted painting death march to finish the renegades.

I'll take some better photos tonight (this is my first time using a DSLR- lots to learn) and get an army shot together.
Hey Catbarf, still got a guide on how to paint up those renegades? I got myself about 20 unbuilt infantryman and I want to give it a go as well.
Better photo, although I need to work on the contrast a bit:

Sure man, here you go. I should note that I've since made a couple of changes to the recipe- the guys above are different from the tutorial there in that:
-I apply a coat of gloss varnish before the Black Glaze, to help draw it into the recesses.
-I ditched the 1:1 Flat Brown/Cork Brown for the leather parts and just use German Cam. Medium Brown, it's virtually indistinguishable at the end.
-For the metals, I used straight Vallejo Metal Color Silver here. I was planning to highlight it with Chrome, but forgot, so it's just the Silver + Black Glaze/Smoke wash + Black Glaze wash.
By the way, just wanted to let you know I accepted your Steam request- I had a pretty busy holiday season so wasn't around all that much.
And with that, my 1000pt army is done:

I've been involved off-and-on in this hobby for a little over a decade, but this is actually my first finished army and I'm quite excited to field it.
I think the AdMech will be a nice change of pace.
I found this pretty interesting, I'd never seen the various washes from different companies actually given a side by side comparison

Today I made an impulse buy:

I scooped it with shipping from the UK for less than the cost of a recast one, and while the certificate of authenticity is missing I think I'll have gotten a good deal regardless. That said, the seller said it was genuine and he was extremely professional, so I think the odds are good. Also, its already magnetized at the torso and weapons, which was the process I was dreading the most if I ever bought a new Titan.
I'll consider removing the Dark Angels iconography in the future, but I do like the paint scheme quite a bit as is.
It's the far superior OOP Lucius pattern too.
I love both patterns, but I've had my eye on Lucius patterns ones since I started 40K, and my heart hurt a little bit when they went out of production. I've seen unbuilt genuine ones go for $1,000 on eBay, and a messed up one sold at my hobby shop for $400, so I knew I had to snap this one up when I had the chance.
I miss the classic boxy boy titans, been trying to recreate them in Adeptus Titanicus.
they should totally bring the designs back for the new Adeptus Titanicus
I REALLY hope that happens, I'm not sure if these are custom or what, but they look great in small scale and dynamic poses:
https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/warhammer40k/images/5/53/Victorum_Warhounds.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20120804120625
Are any of those 3d print files publicly available? If they are I could easily adjust the scale to match up with Titanicus.
The cockpit of the Lucius pattern warhound always just makes me think of Truckasaurus.
Yeah: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2820965
Apparently they just need a 163% scale increase to match Titanicus. I'm talking to some friends of mine about it, but if they can't do it I might ask you. The scale increase worries me a little bit, but with the relatively small model size and after market coats for 3d printed materials, it could probably be made smooth enough without requiring an incredibly nice printer.
What I've been trying to do for a while now is create Lucius style armor panels to attach onto the existing Titanicus titans. On the legs it should be very straightforward, the superstructure armor is a bit tricky but workable, the hard part is things like the feet and head, essentially they'd have to be completely remade from scratch.
Apparently they've been mentioned on streams by the designers, and they're a long way away, if at all, because the designers want to expand the range as much as possible before they go and make variant models.
