Yeah. There definitely seems to be a lot more games from people who give a shit.
Mechanicus might be a little easy or somewhat simple in terms of gameplay but for a 40k game the themeing is spot-fucking-on and it's clearly made by people who know their shit and care about it too.
I have a decent degree of optimism for a mechanicus 2 or some kind of expansion where these guys take what they've learned and make improve upon it.
It could very easily be a full on 40k XCOM game, I think they sat out to establish that they could reach something like that and are likely able to do something grander in scope in the future.
All I want now is a Deathwatch game similar to Vermintide. Space Hulk was close to scratching the itch I've had for a great 40k FPS but it had too many problems for me.
I really wanna see a non RTS game with Eldar protagonists. There was that eternal crusade game a while back, but it ran like shit on my PC and I'm not a huge fan of competitive shooters.
Eternal Crusade is more of a lobby shooter. It's not particularly competitive, it can just feel that way if you end up playing against clans.
Closest we got to an xcom 40k game was chaos gate and that really good 40k mod for openxcom.
Right yeah, I meant competitive in a more general sense- as in you play against other players as opposed to with them. I understand it got some form of co-op mode at some point, but iirc it was supplemental to the pvp element of the game and not really something you would get lots of mileage out of if you played it exclusively.
I think I've posted something about this in the past- but I'd really like to see an Eldar game that played like Dark Souls/Bloodborne. I think the Eldar would be a great fit for a game based around fighting enemies that could flatten you at any moment- but you are ultimately capable of defeating, where you have to use speed, dodging, and resource management to outmanoeuvre Space Marines or Demons in order to survive fighting them.
Idk I just feel that with human protagonists you either get movie marines who are invincible killing machines, or imperial guard characters who would start to stretch the suspension of disbelief if they lived long enough to play out the entire storyline.
There's an old as dirt 40k tactical game called Rites of War that stars the Eldar. No idea if it's any good or even workable on modern systems though.
I just want a good 40k RPG.
Does anyone know if the mechanicus skitarii parts, particularly arms, would fit in with Necromunda Delaque gangers with very minimal conversion work?. Or if not, does anyone have any suggestions for cyberware that would work with Delaque gangers.
I want to give my Gang leader a cybernetic arm, but I want to avoid buying bitz and pieces just to see if they fit properly.
neat sick conversions that were posted in my discord, anyone know where these might be from?

I know some from the first one: nobz body, cataphractii shoulder pads, GSC mining laser(?) for part of the gun.
In other news I finished up another model:

Yeah, it's the mining laser with its barrel replaced with a 30k plasma cannon, and the arms holding it are Necromunda Orlock.
oh, i should've been more clear. i meant that i want to know who made them.
Ah, in that case I can give you the creator's instagram
Kyle Haydon
I'm pretty sure they actually aren't skitarii arms, I'm not sure where the arms are from but the Skitarii hands are just glued onto them. He does have a couple of Cawdor torsos with Skitarii arms (or in several cases, pieces of skitarii arms) on them though so they probably fit.
Inquisitor - Martyr is supposedly awful though.
Someone called "Kyle Hadon" from his instragram

Whatever happened to that xcom style Necromunda game? that still on the way?, because it looked like it could have been super neat.
Mini assassin Dex in March, also beta rules now in WD?
https://imgur.com/a/3YEDg58
Well I guess that might be how they handle the random little forces, means they dont have to do a full codex for a handful of models.
It's beta rules for the boltguns
Early preview of some new HH stuff
https://www.warhammer-community.com/2019/01/21/new-horus-heresy-models-revealed/
They did this back in the day, the early chapter approved like psychic powers, abhumans, kill team nemesis (bosses for the old kill team), creature feature etc
I'm guessing their supper secret reval for the HH weekender is another primarch finally, or Malevolence.
It also talks about an index for imperial assassins.
Officially up now

With new bolter rules could rhino rush be a real thing again?
A marine gunline rapid firing at 24" could be pretty frightening
It makes intercessors camping on a back line objective way better too.
