The shit that people do with vehicles never fails to amaze me.
Crippled by Tom Cruise and three hand grenades.
Fun fact, that ones actually a recast and the guy regularly updates on its progress in the recast reddit.
I know for a fact someone did this with a real one but I haven't seen anything from them in a while.
Also I have done it, my life for the four armed emperor. Really looking forward to painting up the quad bike, it looks so goofy but with the visor down on the rider its just so cool at the same time
That's a myth. Dakota Fanning's scream killed more than the flu and ebola combined.
Clearly a guard player used the Magnusson Device stratagem.
And suddenly flesh-eater court and skaven battle tomes. Guess the box set really did have a purpose beyond pushing models.

Some of the concepts for Necromunda stuff is pretty neat

Much as I love 40k, I'd actually like to see some new stuff for Chaos in AoS. Some updated Chaos Warriors would be neat.
I've just been informed that this exists

That's amazing
if you're planning on using the campaign editor don't change the fleet size limit it can make the game impossible later on. The Tyranid invasion just hits you with 5 12,000 point forces, when you're fighting they instantly drifting hulk an ship.
What's been putting me off AoS is that GW seems to have a very short memory about it. It feels like a lot of stuff just isn't very well established and they just fire stuff off without much care. I mean just look at the Idoneth deepkin, they made it out to be such a big deal that they were launching this whole new faction, and it amounts to twelve kits (one of which was scenery), a battletome and some dice, and then they completely fade into the background. They gave similar treatment to sylvaneth and fyreslayers before them as well.
but that's literally just the gw release model across both systems
"look it's the adeptus mechanicus finally coming as a playable faction after 30 years!!!" 8 kits plus cawl and fat railgun man as part of a campaign and kill team respectively
"look it's the genestealer cults finally back after 30 years!!!" 4 kits plus the aberrants which were relegated to overkill for ages and an upgrade sprue, until now, 3 years later
"look it's the harlequins as their own distinct faction!!!" 6 kits, 3 of which are characters and a codex
"look it's custards as their own distinct faction!!!" 4+1 (BoP) kits
"look it's deathwatch as their own distinct faction!!!" 3 kits plus the start collecting captain and overkill named squad
I just hope we see multi-posable plastic aspect warriors (besides Dire Avengers) some day.
Or the Scion "codex".

Oh my lord that sniper relic sounds busted as all hell.
as long as they have the reinforcement points
o I completely forgot that whole thing existed for a moment there.
So that's where the guy from saints row who makes helicopters appear for you out of nowhere comes from.
Eh, it turns the rifle into a pseudo TransArq that you can only have 1 of.
Against T4, that's 2+ hit, 2+ wound, AP-2, Dam D3, and extra mortals on wound rolls of 6, for 70pts and a relic. Math says an average of 0.83 wounds per turn against a Primaris Captain.
Meanwhile, in my AdMech army, a five-man squad of Rangers with two transuranic arquebuses costs 72pts. Two shots, 3+ hit, 3+ wound on T4, AP-2, Dam D3, and extra mortals on wound rolls of 6. That's an average of 1.11 wounds per turn against a Primaris Captain.
I think we're going to see the Jackal Alphus in a lot of lists, but it's not going to kill a character on its own more than once in a blue moon. My 1K AdMech army has four transuranic arquebuses and they're more of a 'nice if it works' than a reliable character-killer. The Alphus's benefits are more in its mobility and +1-for-friendlies-to-hit bonus. Having just one shot means it has the same problem as the Vindicare; it's just not likely to hit, wound, and do enough damage to kill even a Guard character in one turn.
If I'm reading this right, the sniper will be doing mortals on a 4+ since it's a boost to your wound roll and the sniper rifle rules say it does mortals on a 6+, it doesn't say natural 6s only.
Really I've found stuff like TransArqs better at picking apart small high value squads.
Thats exactly what I was thinking, though now that I look at the points it might be a bit much given the alpha's real shine is that she can markerlight stuff.
Picking up the dex this weekend, keen to see if GSM will benifit from a varied list rather than going all in on either fast bike/buggy list or the swarm with heaps of characters. (Not that i'd complain with having a reason to buy a bunch of buggies)
Doing 1 mortal 50% of the time really isn't all that useful in 40k. Again, as someone that runs TransArqs in AdMech that D3 damage seems really good on paper but the volume of shots will disappoint you. Armies like guard can bring enough cheap characters that plinking one down over two turns isn't a game changer and tougher characters like marines tend to have an invlun that nullifies the ap-2. It's GW's usual trap of "this sounds cool and fluffy but the game mechanics don't lend themselves to it very well". Though people will run it anyways for that occasional "I managed to wound, do a mortal, get through saves, and roll max damage" moment.
Either way I'm definitely buying at least one set of jackals to use as rough riders, probably an alpha sergeant and a ridgerunner Tauros as well.
