The sanctus can fire twice in the turn it arrives (gets to use the stratagem for free), and can trigger perils through the mortal wound. Not good against all Armies, but on average it'll kill a Librarian or a Sorcerer (or even Ahriman) the turn it drops.
There can be only one! (army with psykers)
Oh, you're totally right, my bad. Okay, so that puts the expected damage as 1.11 vs a Captain, identical to the double TransArq squad. Still, I think @Anderan is right. It's just not enough firepower to reliably put down a character quickly, and dropping a high-value target on turn 4 isn't terribly useful. For snipers to be useful you need to kill a character early, and to do that you need a lot of snipers. My AdMech 1K list has four TransArqs, and even that is more of a deterrent than a reliable character-sniping strategy. That said, it's still good for wounding a character so that another unit can finish the job with melee, and I can see that role getting a lot of mileage with GSC. Take a wound or two off a character, and it'll be a lot easier for the Patriarch to do the rest.

I can feel the warp overtaking me... It is a good pain.
Do you hear the voices too?!
It is as though a thousand mouths cried out in pain!

Termeatnator.
Anyone know how to get that blue black colour they paint black legion?
mix of black and dark blue for the base then highlighted up with blue greys I'm sure there'll be a WD tutorial or something close to release
I really like that librarian. I'd honestly be willing to splurge on that set with someone else so I could get him
Start of my GSC forces get, bikers and an alpha to start things off. Biker kit is really weird though, there are only 1-2 of each weapon despite you being able to take them on all the bikers meaning you simply can't run a squad of everyone totting shotguns. If there was ever a kit for GW to be selling extra bits for this is it, I can already feel the ebay bits sellers drooling over this kit.
It looks like a black base with two layers of blue-grey highlights. If you're using GW paints, I'd guess Abaddon Black, Russ Grey, and Fenrisian Grey.
IIRC GW uses Dark Reaper for their blue black highlights.
On second glance, there's definitely a darker first highlight in there, so I think you're right. Looking at the 'balls' on the backpacks, there seem to be three layers, so I'd guess black base -> Dark Reaper highlight -> finer Russ Grey highlight -> pinpoint Fenrisian Grey highlight.
I'm guessing this but with sharper highlights. Base is Abaddon black, naturally. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/58205/388645a3-1346-44db-8ea6-d8f2b5f61114/Screenshot_20190209-170506_Citadel Paint.jpg
What are your guys workstations like? Anything specific to recommend, in terms of product or setup? I'm looking to setup a 200-240 cm desk as a dual workstation (computer and miniature station), and I'm wondering what to look for in terms of storage solutions and other stuff.
I use a mini drawer organizer like this but with labels for storing paints in. As far as desk size goes it just needs to be tall enough that you don't bend over too far and strain your back, and wide enough for convenience. One of the main things you should consider is lighting. Having good lighting really helps with painting, in my experience even using a cheap lamp made me miss things and struggle to work out what sort of tone/vibrancy I wanted to work towards when layering.
-Lighting is super important. The more light you can get, the better. Daylight bulbs are also very useful, since they give you a more accurate idea of color. I use a pair of Ikea desk lamps with daylight bulbs. -Some people get a dedicated cutting mat, but I use a wooden cutting board for assembly and painting. It's easy to move around if I need to get it out of the way. -For storing sprues, bits, and minis, I really like plastic Sterilite bins. They hold sprues perfectly, are stackable, and will fit human-sized minis upright. For larger minis I use the 6" deep bin. -For storing glues, tools, and other supplies, I use a plastic tackle box. The dividers made it easy to organize. -For my paint, I got a nail polish rack, and it comfortably holds both Vallejo and Citadel paint bottles. Also, while I'm here, today I finished my first unit of Skitarii Vanguard. https://i.imgur.com/QMfqU7d.jpg

Just watched Event Horizon again. What's the best game out there for a good "oh fuck, it's the warp" vibe; preferably 40k. I've had my fill of the fantasy setting.
