Are Tech-Priests this fucking lethal in the tabletop? Because my little cadre of four Tech-Priests are just slaughtering their way across the tomb world right now.
Sadly no. Tech-Priests in Mechanicus are capable of taking pretty much any weapon in the Mechanicus Codex, on the table they're significantly more limited, although Cawl and a Dominus can be capable of doing some serious murdering. Some of the weapons they lug around in Mechanicus are vehicle weapons.
Cawl can murder hard targets decently. A regular Dominus sorta just sits back plinking away at units.

That psyker WILL be part of my genestealer cult.
I love how the trader has a servo skull reloading one of their pistols. Also I guess this means the popular conversion of kataphrons with legs is canon now.
The fuck is with tentacle spike leg lady? I mean they are cool figures.
Really not digging the spike leg. Reminds me of an awful chaos marauder "conversion" I did as a kid.

Don't get your hopes up, it's probably just one of the black legionnaires with a heavy bolter.
When in doubt, inquisitor or rogue trader.

wtf roboute guilliman is my spiritual liege now?
I'm just imagining Guilliman inspecting the troops, he sees a guardsmen heavy weapon team lugging around an autocannon and says "back in my day we used to carry those single handed" and the primaris marines start tripping over each other to be the first to prove they can carry an autocannon in front of the primarch.
Looks like some Inceptor type stabilization tech for the autocannon, they're finally giving Primaris heavy weapons/making Primaris Devastators. Noice.
He also appears to be wearing a grav chute, so they're not just heavy weapons, they're deep striking heavy weapons.
I'm gonna pretty annoyed if they give Primaris autocannons and still leave the Havoc kit as it is - it's resin, and you only get one of each weapon...
Eh, the general attitude everyone in my group has towards Havocs is they don't need a kit, just take regular chaos marines and load em out with Forgeworld weapons.
...You mean the new CSM kit that probably doesn't fit the FW kits anymore?

https://youtu.be/ET5xgdLVnAI Trailer for the new starter set (also the source of that image I posted earlier) this has potentially interesting implications for chaos as well, as apparently the plot of this new box is Primaris Vanguard are going Alpha Legion on a Hellforge of the Dark Mechanicus.
Good for hitting vehicle's rear arm- oh
honestly, the lack of vehicle armor and the way you remove models by choice instead of from the front are features I miss. I can live without blast templates (although I still found those cool) but those two features I mentioned I just gotta wonder why they were removed. I know this versions supposed to be streamlined but ehh.
Does anyone here know about battletech? My dad just bought the starter set, and I'd love to learn more about it.
So testing out the Manipulus I have to say his movement buff is more useful than I was expecting. Helps eek out a few extra inches to get to objectives. I might try running him with Metalica for some speedy vanguard that don't get to hit penalties for advancing.
Stratagems are weird, you can pay 1CP to add an assassin on their own, which is exactly the same as just taking said assassin in an auxiliary detachment, and the priority target neutralized strat is basically an auto use.
Using the strat would let you tailor which assassin you want to use depending on who you're playing against.
In addition, if you're playing comp and are limited to a certain number of detachments, that stratagem would allow you to bypass that, right?
I would assume so. When you use the strat it just says add an assassin to your army, so I would assume it doesn't count as a detachment. Also I find it weird that the strat is 3x as expensive in narrative and open play.
