I'm told that picture is photoshopped, and that the original photo was from a 2017 WD. Here's what was actually on that page. https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/386051930822017027/550988658895749130/SPOILER_unknown.png
A version with much clearer text ended up getting posted and yea, it's just the page talking about the Fall of Cadia triumvirate.
It's pretty noticeably a kitbash. The legs look straight off the standard space marine sprue and the difference between them and the torso is night and day. Maybe they're just showin' off someone's greenstuffin
prolly conversion
...the what now?
Many colors with exteemly high contrast, many colors that show very clean paste lines (and cut off words, kind of a dead give away) on the right side, and a very distinct red-white-blue repeated blurring brush pattern on the top of the pic.
I wonder how many Youtube channels have made/or are making videos about how 40k and GW are dead to them now after that 'leak'.
Arch probably exploded
Female space marines has been a somewhat hot topic again on the 40k subreddits so that was probably made to rile things up further.
… Why? They just seem like a concept of an old debate. I mean fuck, they may not be something in the lore but there's nothing stopping *you* as a player and a modeler for including them. It's like what I say to people who think the game promotes fascism or whatever: "If you have a problem with this then don't play the Imperium of Man. Play Eldar or something"
After reviving a seemingly dead Primarch and improving on the more than ten millennia old iconic heroes of the imperium from a fundamental level to the weapons and vehicles, Belisarius Cawl had to think of what to do next. "Hmm. Do I work on technology for the Imperial Guard? Do I seek out technology from the dark age of humanity? Do I take a vacation? No! I know what must be done! I shall further swell the ranks, and chests, of the Space Marine chapters!" Such heretical thoughts created a psychic shockwave that rippled nearly 40 millennia back in time. And then a Black Library writer awoke with dark intentions and an especially stiff morning wood.
Someone made a joke, people make it a big thing, boom bam you've got a Warhammer meme subreddit riled up and mods locking posts. Female SM are silly. though. We already have an all female monastic order of power armor wearing, bolter wielding, fanatical zealots to counter the all male monastic order of power armor wearing, bolter wielding, fanatical zealots.
And here was me hoping it was just a very effeminate looking blood angels model.
Look what finally arrived. https://my.mixtape.moe/ovhurh.jpg https://my.mixtape.moe/cegtpd.jpg
Time for some actual leaks https://i.imgur.com/IJmFQgy.png Unsurprisingly the new CSM are just, well CSM. https://i.imgur.com/jmFUTGV.png
This box is really weird imo. Suppressors seem kind of weird and will undoubtedly be overcosted, and the CSM being stock standard and monopose is really disappointing. Sculpts are great but rules ehhhhhhhh. Maybe the new psychic disciplines will be cool, and Obliterators got a buff that hopefully won't be counteracted with a ridiculously big points increase. I was thinking if Deathwatch got access to Suppressors it could be absolutely insane popping smoke on a whole infantry squad, but it's only the sergeant that can do it, so I really don't see a use for a unit that has deepstrike, 48" heavy weapon, and 12" movement, and hitting on 4s when moving. Six autocannon shots hitting on 4s for what will probably be near 200 points is not impressive. Suppressing fire has potential to bully Tau but that's all I can see.
I'm wondering if the CSM in the box are just monopose for the box will a full release later. Also there's more info for the SM side. None of it sounds amazing but snipers that can ignore LoS could be annoying and S4 AP-2 D3 damage seems to be the direction GW is going with baseline snipers now. Librarian in Phobos Armour (HQ) : Librarian that can set up anywhere more than 9" away from enemy deployment zone and models. Also has a camo cloak, which adds 2 to saving throws in cover. Captain in Phobos Armour (HQ) : Same as Librarian, but is a captain. Armed with Master-Crafted Instigator Bolt-Carbine (what a mouthful). S4, AP-2, 2 damage, can target characters even if they're not the closest. Has combat knife too, same as Reivers. Lieutenant in Phobos Armour (HQ) : Same as above. Has Master-Crafted Occulus Bolt Carbine, S4, AP0, D2, units don't get cover saves against it. Also has combat knife. Eliminator Squad (Heavy Support) : Squad of 3 . They have bolt sniper rifles, two different ammo types. Both are heavy 1, 36" and S4. Executionner rounds are AP-2, D3 damage and rolls of 6 do mortal wounds. Mortis rounds are AP-1, 1 damage, can target units that aren't visible, they don't get cover and add 2(!) to hit rolls with these rounds. Also have the abilities of the librarian. Infiltrator Squads (Troops) : Squad of 5, can have up to 10 with an Infiltrator Helix Adept. Armed with Marksman Bolt Carbine, Rapid Fire 1, S4, AP0, 1 damage. Each unmodified hit of 6 does an instant hit and wound. Helix Adept is basically an apothecary, it can heal or revive a model from the unit.
Apparently the Infiltrators also deny deepstrikes https://i.imgur.com/uZ6z7tZ.jpg

It's what they did for Dark Imperium and other boxed sets so I'm guessing multipart kits come later.
Shadowspear models leaked: https://i.redd.it/8ewlit0vwwj21.jpg Only 2 Obliterators what
Their datasheet has been leaked, they're 1-3 instead of 3. They also have more shots, more wounds and are tougher, so damage wise they've got the same output of three old ones, and can take roughly the same amount of damage.

Makes sense from the perspective of maximizing the content in the box. The easy-to-build sprues are more space-efficient. Someone on Reddit found evidence that there will be multi-part kits, IIRC it was a pose in one of the preview images that didn't match the monopose version in this box.
not at all from a cost perspective, why do special molds for this one non-starter battle box only if multiparts are coming down the line anyway
God everyone in my local gaming group is shitting on the new marine models and its kind of disheartening. So what if they're silly, It's 40k, it's silly by default.
I personally love that each bolter has about 10 different scopes.
I'm not a massive fan of Primaris marines but most of these new ones are pretty cool imo. The only ones I don't like are the flying autocannon dudes. Like the Inceptors before them they look really goofy and awkward with their stupid moonshoes.
The primaris seem to be pretty well received at my store. It's mostly the Chaos stuff that isn't well received. Not that any of it looks bad but with normal CSM still being awful and summoning being shit there's just no interest in what it's offering.
Really? I actually really like the new basic Marines, and I generally dislike Marines. Not so keen on the flying dudes or leather-over-armor character, though. Actually, I guess I do see people complaining about that, but magnified optic + non-magnified optic + laser designator is a pretty common combo IRL so joke's on them.
