I'm not sure what to say about that thing. It doesn't really look bad or good. It just kinda looks like they made a model and kept adding things well past the point they should have stopped.
That does rather sound like the MO of hereteks/traitor techmarines.
Personally I think it looks like Steve the intern started painting some tyranid but got the colour schemes mixed up and rather than admit his mistake, put a heretek-marine on the back and called it a new daemon
engine.
That sounds very much like Chaos to me.
I kind of feel like it would look better if the mount and the dude were separate minis.

I've been watching the GT Finals over the weekend on Twitch, definitely got me in the mood for doing some Hobby stuff. Some great games on the stream - they had an Aeldari vs Mixed Imperium game this morning was absolutely amazing to watch, it was really back and forth.
So I guess the Codex: Black Legion people were expecting was partially correct. But rather than a full codex it's just a supplement in Viglus Ablaze.
