So turns out the abberant kit comes with 3 of each weapon instead of 4 meaning you need to buy 3 boxes in order to make 2 squads using a single weapon type
This seems to be a trend in the new GSC stuff and while I get that you generally aren't going to be running a single unit of them its still a bit of a kick in the head when you consider kits like wraithguard come with 5 sets of all 4 weapon options.

Finished up some Hellblasters I started last year and forgot about. I'm really happy with the dark skin tone, all my other attempts at doing one just ended up looking unnatural and weird.

How the hell did you paint so much yellow?
I intentionally avoid painting yellow armor on my orks because it never comes out right. Not in that bright vibrant hue that you seem to be able to do, at least. Maybe a shoulderpad or two looks alright but then I gotta apply a wash on it or else they look chunky and terrible

I made a quick guide a while back, I pretty much still do this except I've switched from Daemonic Yellow Spray to Airbrushing with Vallejo Gold Yellow for the undercoat. It pretty much gets the same result though.

I actually painted that head over a year ago, but I think I base coated with Dryad Bark, washed with Druchii Violet, then started layering with Dryad Bark/Gorthor Brown starting with about an 80/20 mix, gradually adding more Gorthor to the mix while focusing more on the raised parts with each layer, and eventually adding a bit of Baneblade Brown for the sharper highlights.
The heavy bolter sound effect being exactly the same is somehow funnier than it has any right to be
I don't have the base yellow you have, but i might give it a go, i've got that Store-Birthday Primaris and I want to paint it but SW colours just would not look right on it, and i do like IF scheme where it's black-heavy
Have 1 finished and another on the way, but they're in different schemes.
You can get away without a yellow primer and just use white instead, it just means you'll have to be a bit more thorough with the Yriel Yellow base coat.

You can only them in squads of 5 now (Champion and 4 guys with heavy weapons), so my guess is that it's to offset the loss of ablative wounds?
Alpha Legion Havocs sitting around the new chaos stargate thing will prove hard to kill though, especially in cover: T5 with 2+5++ and -1 to hit makes them hard to shift, especially mixed with a Sorcerer or Dark Apostle casting powers/prayers on them.
