Mechanicus is pretty sweet But it feels pretty rushed towards the end late game balance feels really off and bosses were real let downs
10 I believe. But since they announced Marneus Calgar, who is now Primaris, and who is also second in command of the Ultramarines, technically that makes him the 11th Primaris Lieutenant.
9 dark imperium 1, dark imperium 2, BA, DA, SW, conquest (UM), 500th store, wake the dead, that one (was announced two weeks ago)
Basecoat, zenithal highlight, bit of edge highlighting, two washes, done. I'm finding artillery and vehicles to be immensely simpler and more relaxing than the infantry. https://i.imgur.com/7xWhemj.jpg
yes
So according to 'sources' the new starter army sets coming are going to be a 'cheaper alternative to buying the models separately'. How cheaper idk but I suppose its at least a start, the necron one actually looks fairly legit and apparently the imperial fist one comes with upgrade sprues rather than being models that already have said iconography on them. Still salty about the craftworld one though. Make the Wk not shit already pleeeeease.
The battleforce boxes have always been cheaper than buying the models individually.
Oh sweet so IF gets upgrade sprues now. Neat.
Isn't that a captain?
No, it's a Lieutenant that will be at Adepticon and independent Warhammer events next year.

Been looking up stuff of GSC infiltrating Adeptus Arbites. Found this old ass pic. Good old days of Eavy metal/GW officially endorsing conversions. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/516/bbc9e8b4-0bcc-42b1-bf9c-9578c72457c7/image.png
The old Genestealers aged shockingly well. You could throw those in a current Tyranid army and they'd look more at home than any of the other models of that era. I wonder if GW will ever bring back the Arbites for 40K.
I prefer that style of genestealer (like the ones with overkill) with the ridged back far more than the shelly carapace standard and spacehulk ones.
Apparently the Genestealer cult gunslinger sprue has a 2019 copyright, so none of that stuff is launching until after new years.

Finally got around painting figures again. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/147418/b88c5488-87e9-4028-8716-148b9bde4ae9/Size comparision of Insquistor and Slambo.jpg https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/147418/acc6e3a7-304a-4970-ac9b-461c5b9d4026/Inquisitor Bontepik.jpg https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/147418/03568e1a-5e7c-49e3-86e7-b1a805563669/Inquisitor Bontepik2.jpg https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/147418/b45066f9-b8ba-4de0-842f-28044b12db02/Slambo the Everchampion.jpg https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/147418/f4f06aa6-1cb9-4bca-bd74-5996a9342539/Augustus Calgar2.jpg https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/147418/29f0e1ea-3ce6-4b2f-8191-45a2ea628829/Augustus Calgar.jpg Augustus's old model was probably the worst model I had to paint so far, and I think it shows. All the little decorations annoyed me to no end. When I thought I was done, there seemed to be another unpainted tassle or belt buckle under the mess. Doesn't help that I don't like Ultramarine's usual gaudy golden trims.
If Arbites come back it would probably be for Killteam.
I would say this, then with optional rules to run them as Enforcers in Necromunda coming later (like the rules for GSC and Chaos Cultists in Necromunda). I'd definitely buy an Arbites Kilteam though!
SO do eldar, and that's because Jes Goodwin is a god from page to stage.
Ironically its not like you have a choice of throwing new or old models in, most of them still ARE that old

not even Tamiyas fine white primer would adhere to pewter, surprisingly maybe its just something in the wya i do it. Even after 24 hours it can be scraped off with a fingernail. However I really appreciate as it dries that it will shrink and fit all nooks better. Anyway, I have some clear coat frmo testor (which fits me great as I will start by shading on these minis) so I will simply put that on afterwards.
I bought a bunch of dkok recently for a later project coz I don't wanna risk em going oop on me
While im hopeful the whole formations thing finally makes SM less shit, I have zero confidence that even a wraithhost formation will find use for the wraithknight. My big boy is doomed to eternal uselessness :c also @kevin the dick just get them from [redacted] sources
I mean, I won't lie about my biases, but the less Wraithknights I see, the better.
Wraithknights are basically in the same place as Necrons right now. Everyone who knows they're underpowered compared to previous editions also knows they were solid blocks of cheese in previous editions, so it's hard to have sympathy for them.
Oh, that's normal for pewter models. You're never going to get paint to stick like it does on plastic. If you really need durability, a few hours in a low temperature oven or a month of sitting out will accelerate the cure and make it at least fingernail-resistant, but it's overkill IMO. Yeah, that was a couple of months ago. Your only options now are eBay or recasters. Speaking of renegades, I started a Leman Russ on Sunday and finished it last night. In terms of time spent to points on the table, it sure blows the infantry out of the water. https://i.imgur.com/HoSUrpT.jpg https://i.imgur.com/PYSxuXq.jpg https://i.imgur.com/qqs9WK1.jpg
Ok, good to know! I guess I just have to make sure to properly cover in various layer of varnish afterwards.
