8 wounds, jesus christ.
Yeesh, get a load of Bigus Dickus over here.

Pro tip: Don't play at GW stores, find hobby stores instead. No clue why but its like that here as well, all the GW stores are full of neckbeard elitists that practically refuse to socialise with anyone that hasn't been attending the store for 5+ years (catch 22 tho) Meanwhile the independent tabletop stores are fantastic, the one I go to now has an exceptionally good group I play with that always welcome new players. I find just talking to new players goes a long way in making them want to stick with the hobby and in this day and age you need all the reasons you can get to do so. If I ever own my own hobby store i'd be doing a lot to try and promote new players, act like an elitist shit towards them and you might as well be store banned imo.
Check it out on Steam. GW recently C&D'd all the modules that provided ripped game assets, but there's a project maintaining them so it's not hard to find. You can play 40K (or whatever, really) in a virtual tabletop environment. The interface is pretty good and it's well worth the price.
Finally got around to continuing working on some models, finished up the 2 squads of "Housecarls" I have in ny army (they use rules for DKOK Storm Grenadiers). Very happy with how they came out, just need to do additional cleaning, and some gap-filling. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/58205/67f95862-8442-4b90-9c80-cae2aebb7b32/20181204_181543.jpg https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/58205/e41e54fe-c3f7-4a29-98c1-70607d22d6b3/20181204_181608.jpg https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/58205/978ef93a-8984-46eb-9ef9-4be07c327cb7/20181204_181601.jpg Models are Vic Minis, hotshot lasguns are Anvil Industry. Squads are armed with 1 plasmagun and 1 heavy stubber each.
He also reduces incoming wounds, guy's basically a light tank.
Vassal also got updated to 8th ed though it's not as exciting as 3d models.
Hes the same toughness as Guilliman and only 1 wound less than a fucking Primarch. Calgar means business.
Really drives home the "Primaris" aspect.
Gameplay aside, it makes sense. Dude's got a ton of experience. I imagine only Dante could outpace him in that regard.
Is he older than Logan Grimmnar, and Ulfrik the slayer?
While I'm not much a fan of Ultramarines or Primaris, I have to give credit to GW for keeping Calgar around and prominent rather than relegating him to Guilliman's seat-warmer.
Dante is currently the oldest-living Space Marine (not counting Dreadnoughts). By the time the Plague Wars take place, he should be somewhere between 1500-1600-years old.
even in gameplay terms, he had 7W before so +1" M +1 T +1 W is pretty much in line with a terminator upgrading to gravy armor
Yeah, pretty much the standard Gravis upgrade, except he kept his 2+ save and all his other special rules. BRB grabbing another lascannon battery.
I was more wondering about Calagar.
Oh. Well his age has never been officially stated, so for that reason, I think it's safe to say he is several centuries old, but not as old as those whose age has actually been revealed. A Space Marine's age is usually only mentioned when it's to point out just how long they've served, like Logan and Dante.
There's way older space marines out there but they're usually chaos like Ahriman and Kharn who are both from Terra
CSM usually aren't counted because of the way Chaos affects them. The Eye of Terror, as an example, makes time pass in a completely different manner. I don't think it's ever been explicitly stated, but there's quite a lot of implications that time passes much more slowly in the Eye of Terror and Maelstrom than in real space. So when a thousand years have passed in real time, someone in the Eye of Terror may only experience that as a single decade.
Is there a bundle out there that has the total Warhammer games and dlc at a discount? Cause I'd rather not spend like close to $250 on them in on lump if possible.
Blackstone units added to Killteam. https://www.warhammer-community.com/2018/12/05/5th-dec-kill-team-command-roster-and-the-servants-of-the-abyss-waiting-on-cr-linkgw-homepage-post-3/
Do we know how old Cypher is?
He's wobbly because he does time shenanigans but he goes back to before the Heresy. So in theory he could be 10k years old.
Wasn't there a loyalist Emperors Children Dreadnought that waited 10k years for Fulgrim to come back so he could beat his ass?
Well a local guy used his VA payment to get all of the HH rulebooks so now there's a couple of people going to do HH near me. Thankfully I've slowly built up a small collection of Mechanicum models so I don't have to proxy everything other than using skitarii for Tech-thralls.
