Super Smash Bros. General v17: Everyone is DEAD! (except Kirby)

Comparing Max to anybody isn't fair - Max is like, the best FGC youtuber there is. His love for the genre is genuine. I remember watching him stream all the shitty SNES/PS2 DBZ games in anticipation for DBFZ way back in december of last year, at like 3 am, and even that was an absolute blast just because he was so into them.
But with Etika it's so painfully obvious, the shulk reveal for 3ds wiiu "O MAN MUH NIGGA SHULK GOT DAT MONADO...WAIT HE AUSTRALIAN, THAS COOL THAS COOL...HE CAN SEE THE FUTURE?! I DIDN'T KNOW THAT!" it's like...one of his main fucking abilities. I don't know, I'm probably just getting frustrated over nothing.
Nah, I feel you. Over-dramatic just for the sake of it, to get an audience, is stupid. Max is different, same with people like the Super Best Friends. They aren't just random assholes riding on the fad of screaming insanity to garner an audience primarily of young children that are enthralled by their antics. Max is like a beacon of hope for the FGC now, he's so earnest and chill, but also really excitable and a lot of fun.
I will admit that if he's the dude that flipped his shit when Snake was revealed, I was pretty amused by all the parody joke videos that were made, and the videos that circulated of him breaking his shelf by beating on it every time something new was shown off during Smash ultimate's reveal.
D1 had a better reaction to Snake than Etika, IMO.

Super Best Friends are some of my favorite casual industry commentators in general, just because of how laid back and real their discussions are, especially on Friendcast. They have opposing opinions on a lot of common topics too, which leads to a more interesting dialog between them and some genuinely funny arguments.
you know d1 is genuinely fucking excited just because of his history with the franchise
the "banned" shit gets annoying though

I actually rewatch this video from time to time because I just feel such vicarious joy for his excitement. I never even played Final Fantasy, but I know it's a huge thing for some people, and seeing Cloud in Smash was just so fucking unexpected and incredible that those first few notes of the theme were all he needed.

just to expand on this to really drive home how massive it was, they literally included Ryu's fucking stage music and roy and ryu's victory themes in the game, a full month before release or any announcement, and it was promptly uploaded to youtube fucking everywhere

both these videos were uploaded April 15th, 2015. The dlc was announced June 14th 2015 and released the next day. what probably would've been one of the most mind-blowing Smash reveals got spoiled a full month in advance lol..
I really liked Vinny and Joel from Vinesauces reaction
Vinny is usually laid back and doesn't really get hyped like everyone else, but he showed a lot of excitement when Cloud was confirmed and you could actually hear him clap when he saw Snake, so you can tell he was really genuine. Plus he had a "wait what?" Moment to Young Link.
I also really like Joel's reaction because during the first half of the reveal he joked about Roy and Snake being confirmed so he nearly started speaking gibberish when they were shown about how he was just joking about them coming back.
Vinny's "YES!! OHOHOLY SHIT! H-how!?" at Snake was the best ever

i'm genuinely going to pretend no one has done the guile theme, the prince of rap, space jam and gangnam style.
because holy hell this died fast.

Sakurai is a treasure.
Do you have a link to Vinny's Cloud reaction?
I made this to mentally prepare my self for if it happens.

That YES! when Snake appears always gets me
I expect there to be cutscenes for
*Intro
*Vs Galeem
*Ending
I'm just curious if there's going to be any more voice work past the intro.
It also helps that Max has said that FF7 is one of his all-time favorite games, and you can really feel that love and passion from this reaction. He's not going apeshit and breaking his furniture like Etika would, he's just genuinely surprised and absolutely ecstatic from this reveal. Look at the smile on his face. That's like the kind of face you make when you get exactly what you wanted for Christmas.
It would feel weird to have that much voice acting in the intro, and then just leave that as the only cutscene in the game and not hear those characters talk to each other ever again.
Max's reaction to Cloud was so good and pure, it's got me (someone who has never played a FF game, let alone 7) super hyped to get FF7 when it comes to the eShop.
I've heard people jerking off over how it's the best game ever because Aerith dies at the end or whatever for over a decade now, but the fact that Cloud's inclusion in Smash got Max that excited has me raring to finally experience that shit the second I'm able to put it on my Switch.
I think they'll also be cutscenes for when you first fight a spirit, as well as first defeating a spirit, breaking the shield around Galeem, and possibly breaking everyone out of that prison they're in.
I expect each boss will have at least a brief intro cut scene
we've already seen galleom's intro cutscene, but it's not really a cutscene it's an animation in engine
