It'd be disappointing if "other" tracks can't be played on all stages, you could mix and match em to where they fit.

From reading the post, it seems like a majority of the controllers use the 2nd or 3rd construction styles except the purple/indigo controllers first produced and the newer Sm4sh/SSBU controllers
I never knew that Nintendo did controller rewards for Club Nintendo. I remember signing up in 2008 when I started getting more modern game consoles (2 Ds's and a Wii that year) and the most notable rewards were some nifty Kirby's Epic Yarn stickers and a Wii Remote holder.

It comes from the master copies being on actual gold or gold colored disks/storage back in the day (due to not degrading). It's a sales buzword these days, since gold masters are no longer needed.

This works in Melee too. The upper blast zone only kills you if you have active upward knockback.
It got bigger, so it may only be applicable to doubles. That's my guess.
I'm not liking the hard "Hazards Off" part. A bunch of stages with interesting movement are either boring now or not on this ruleset (In the case of Yoshi's Story and FoD, probably because it just becomes like any other tri-plat + different walls). Switching between hazards on or off depending on what stage you want shouldn't be hard at all, you just need to make two rule presets and choose the correct one before stage selection.

Since Pokemon Stadium no longer transforms with Hazards Off it has more of a reason to be considered as a starter

Yeah, removing stages because of redundancy are grounds for public shaming.
Man, I have no idea how to balance the stagelist. Non-unique hazard toggle is a pain, but Stadium just is not the same without it. There are about a billion playable stages so how the fuck does banning work. You can't say that some stages are too similar because the smallest changes make all the difference. Maybe theres a way to group stages together and use that for banning?
leave it to the smash community to make the hazard toggle something that is gonna restrict the possible stage list for for the competitive scene even further
