You know, was thinking back to smash 4's launch on the 3DS and the first early streamer. It was a girl if I recall and everyones first glance was Kirby vs Master Core 3DS Is this actually 3 games in a row where Kirby gets to be the most important in some way
Even before we knew about Subspace Emissary, Kirby was made the butt of the joke with the transition of graphics between Melee in Brawl
He was also considered by far the best character in Smash 64 for years, oyyl around 2012 iirc did pikachu start to edge in on his top tier and then he was the focus of Melee because A. Fountain of Dreams, objectively best map in the game, and B. he went from the number 1 character in 64 to literally the worst character in Melee, and people were furious over it.
They really did Kirby dirty in Melee. Nerfing him was justified since he was pretty ridiculous in 64, but they made him feel terrible to play as to boot. All of his attacks feel completely hollow and either deal no damage, no knockback, or both. Some of the other low tiers at least have some cool tricks but Kirby really doesn't have anything.
Pikachu has been listed as #1 since the 2000s. There was more contentment for if Kirby was lower than 3rd than if he was the best. For a few years, Fox was considered better than Kirby, though Kirby is now in 2nd and Falcon has passed Fox in the tier list.
Headlines for this game are really massive as of late "Ultimate has sold out on Amazon" "Ultimate has sold out in our local retailer Gamestop" "Ultimate has sold out digitally" Wonder where this game will stand on metacritic.
Ultimate has sold out all metacritic numbers, so instead the score will be represented by a Wingdings character.
> Sold out digitally 🤔
this was supposed to be a joke but I suppose I had to make it more obvious

To be fair, Luka was doing most of the nice sort of babysitting in Bayonetta 1. She just beat everyone up.
my anticipation for this game is driving me crazy 2 nights ago i had a dream waluigi got revealed for smash last night I had a dream banjo kazooie got revealed for smash I'll be sure to let y'all know what my imaginary alternate universe Sakurai will reveal tonight
There have been games that sold out digitally before due to how digital keys were handled.
God I hope it's Pikachu
Bowser would be the best since he actually knows how to raise a child.
Except for the whole "my unrequited crush is your mom" deal. However, solid parenting at least with the topic of video gaming.

Does anyone know the filesize for Ultimate? I just bought a microSD card in case.
around 14 gb, 13. 6 i think?
13.6 GB installed, according to my "manage software" menu. NA version if that matters.
For those pre-ordering physical, where are you pre-ordering? Who does release-day delivery?
I preordered from Amazon when I still had Prime and when they were still doing 20% off preorders. Since I got it with Prime it said that it would be release day.
Same as above, amazon pre-order for when they did their last 20% off for prime users deal. I'm just a bit worried cause unlike other pre-orders, it didn't take any cash for placing the order, so there's the possibility it might not even go through.
For the record, Vanilla Street Figther 5 is around 17GB + another 10-15GB with the extra content added so far.
Apparently, Chrom isn't just in Robin's final smash . . . . He appears in Robin's victory poses, too.
And when Link, Toon Link, or Young Link join the battle, he is in charge in the train. Chrom: "Leave it to me!" https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/249352/89ad2cfe-bbfb-4a9d-9d31-cc2f1a5a1572/image.png
I still can't get over how lazy this is. In a game rife with QoL and characterization changes, they couldn't manage to update Robin's moveset to reflect the fact that Chrom became a playable character. The only way that makes sense is if Chrom was the absolute last echo fighter they thought to implement, as that might not have left enough time for them to update Robin. That would make a bit of sense, actually, given how Chrom's model occasionally looks unfinished in places.
