Haven’t had A chance to play fo76, but just wanted to ask, can you still open the console and run commands such as batch files like you could in fo4. Also, has anyone been stuck on terrain/props in fo76? It seemed every half hour or so in fo4 I’d get stuck and have to tcl my way out.

there appears to be quite a few missing textures. not only that, but the reflection maps themselves are missing textures. so, since everything uses the reflection maps, everything is reflecting a blank purple texture.

Quick tip for those who don't know. You can still edit your FOV with ini files as far as I can tell. I'm not sure which ini is the one it's actually checking from but I added the lines

fDefaultWorldFOV = 110
fDefault1stPersonFOV = 110

under the [Display] section as opposed to the lines that are already there under [Interface] to Fallout76.ini (Both the one in documents and the game directory) and Fallout76Prefs.ini and my FOV is high.

Upon investigation, when I downloaded the last patch (didn't play on Tuesday) it skipped out on some files, so my .game was a little screwed

Though this does mean that yes, you can play the game with .esms that aren't the same as everyone else's At least, ones that are a lower filesize than they're supposed to be

So somewhere along the line I found a fatman apparently. No idea where, but its a unique with 90% less carry weight on it.

So that's pretty cool.

I got a quest to build a trap using a mine and some meat. I had twice the materials I needed and the game wouldn't let me build it for having "Insufficient materials." In my haste making food at a campfire I accidentally used up the radstag. Now I'm trying to find a radstag so I can actually make this trap. Anyone know where to find some? They seem to have disappeared from my game.

Oh god. I found the Maxson holotape. Their representation of the BoS is not great. Did you know they started accepting new recruits almost immediately?

Guess they just stopped for some reason. There's also a bunch of notes around the place of the new recruits lamenting that the BoS are a bunch of weirdos who call themselves Paladins and stuff, and

yeah. They kind of are at this point.

Fallout 76 has made me reflect on how weird the Fallout lore is this early on. Not just with the new Beth lore either, I don't think Fallout's ever had a good grasp on what these super early years look like. According to the Fallout bible, radiation cleared away enough for exploration after just a year, though this information conflicts with other info too.

I don't know either but I have two more power armor frames I'd like to store along with some parts but I'm at 400 so I'm lugging 20 pounds of frames plus armor.

Everything has weight, everything is worth nothing, vendors have no money anyway. The crafting system encourages you to gather resources to build your camp and craft gear, but you can't hold any extra gear because and armour set easily weighs 20+ and guns weigh 5-10 each.

All of Bethesda's games reward you for being a hoarder and dump tons of shit into your inventory (including 76) and the devs are baffled that people are filling their stashes. Not that it's hard to fill the stash anyway, since you can't sell half the shit you're given. Can't even sell ammo or misc items.

Well this last beta session went better than the others. Still not convinced me to purchase the game though, at least not in its current state.
I hope it'll get better with time. The map is pretty fun to explore (like always) and I fell in love with the spacesuit and the firefighter outfit.

Cosplaying as Civil War Era people with proper Black Powdered Rifles.
This game very much fits with "Fun with friends" as there's lotta things happens or do things that's only hilarious with someone, where as solo it'll feel very quiet and empty. Now if only this game wasn't such a forken mess in technical side of things. With that said, definitely not 60€ worth. Around 30-40€ would be more reasonable.

I've had a blast playing this beta. Both with friends AND solo, despite all it's flaws, i really enjoy this.

But, even though i think so, the 60€ price is simply unacceptable, so i'll definitly pick it up, but not before it's heavily reduced in price.

Man, the game was just not working for me today. I started having just gotten to the Top of the World last time, prepared to continue the main quest - and then that quest proceeded to take me all over the place for no real explained reason, and I just couldn't with that shit any more. I'm just fucking tired of fighting super mutants and mole rats and rad roaches and feral ghouls and even the scorched are already old, boring hat.

By the end, I had picked a road to just travel blindly down, exploring whatever I came across, and was enjoying that more, at least. Except for whenever I'd go to poke at something and it was full of super mutants. Or started an event. Then I'd just turn around and continue down the road.

Also, I modded up a pipe revolver the very first beta day, and on today, the last beta day, I'm still using the damn thing. Good lord I want a better gun.

I was just not feeling this game today.
