You know, to this point I'm still not entirely sure what's the point of using nukes. The E3 presentation just showed that they create mini glowing seas with higher leveled enemies and loot. Is that really just it ? I can come across high level enemies very easily in normal areas because of the shitty balancing. The whole process of gathering codes and launching a nuke from a heavily guarded bunker doesn't sound like it's worth the hassle.
Do Nukes destroy everything in the blast area? If so, what would happen if you dropped it on Flatwoods. Would the Responders Robot there die? Also, (I've not bought the game, this is purely from the BETA) I found this dudes clothes, which can be worn over the top of your armour. If I remember correctly, it was located at the top of the Responders Church in Flatwoods, hidden under an overturned church pew. I thought it looked good to wear, had a few people in the BETA ask where I got it from.
I don't want to sound like that kind of guy, but all the alternatives were so damn underwhelming that I basically said to myself "Listen, they are some sort of secret organization based on espionage and secrecy, it's kinda your thing, plus they have 'La Resistance' vibes, just help them out and let's get this over with"
IMPORTANT BUG FOR THOSE WHO PACKRAT THE SHIT OUT OF THEIR STUFF https://www.reddit.com/r/Fallout/comments/9z1nnb/pocketed_armor_and_unlimited_carry_limit/
I hope the price drops soon, i really enjoyed the beta but there's not a chance in hell i'm shelving out 60€ for this.
I got mine from here https://www.cdkeys.com/pc/games/fallout-76-pc-cd-key
So is 76 forced PvP? I usually avoid a lot of survival games because I just like doing my own thing, or playing coop with random people for fun.
Not at all. I have yet to come in contact with a hostile player. There's also a pacifict mode you can turn on that makes it so you can't attack other players. People can still kill you, but the damage done to you is so miniscule, that it's not even worth the bullets.
Neat, thanks.
hmmm, maybe i should wait a few more days? If it's already down half the price, maybe it gets lower?
I thought they were not trust worthy
Trudeau!
Anybody wanna party up? PC obvs
Yeah, that I can understand. Definitely makes more sense, but I'd say the railroad is equally as underwhelming, even worse than the other in many parts. thanks
So now we've seen the final boss is a dragon from Skyrim, does this mean we can officially label Fallout "Skyrim with guns"?
Am I the only one here who hated the fuck out of Fallout 4 but is finding Fallout 76 not so bad?
Friend of mine is the same, he only played durring the beta tho, since it he had one of those friend beta keys.
Livid yesterday when I was trying to do a nuke photomode near Charlston and ended up having it ruined by a pitchfork wielding scorched bitch. Nuke launches are becoming more common though which is cool, even if they are a little underwhelming. https://i.imgur.com/i4dfkUE.png
Calling Scorchbeasts "Skyrim Dragons" is a bit reductionist but anything to have another clickbait Polygon article I guess
All they are is a reskinned AI, sure it makes fiscal sense, but surely someone at Bethesda would've though 'this isn't very creative'.
Pretty sure you can't nuke flatwoods. There's a big ol' protection area for the starting areas that doesn't allow you to nuke there.
you know what else is technically reskinned dragons? Vertibirds. People barely complained about it really, only made jest instead.
Morgantown can be nuked, right outside the airport. It's a bit weird.
You know that vertibirds in the grand sense weren't. They at least made sense and were well known in the series. Plus it's not like they breathe 'fire' or whatever.
Yeah and ghouls are reskinned zombies while super mutants are reskinned ogres. Are we not allowed to have big, impressive flying enemies because they put dragons in a game that one time? Or can we take advantage of the fact that they already put in the work to get enemies of that type working (mostly)?
Heres a question for you guys, how much weight do you think they’ll add to the stash limit?
I think they'll add up to 100 pounds.
my dream is at least 500 pounds but we'll see
i'm more criticizing the criticism of "npc's using same AI as previous video game". Not how much the Scorched beasts fits into FO lore or not.
imagine if, basic components still had weight normally, but didn't weigh anything in the stash? that'd be a way to fix it
