To be fair Garry just used Valve's face posing and animation system. Though to be extra fair, no game really has facial animations on par with Valve's. Which is honestly pretty pathetic.
Oh woah, how exaggerated, I thought facial animations lately has been really damn cool on game like Red Dead Redemption 2 or Cyberpunk 2077. A bit too much to say no game really has facial animations on par with Valve. And honestly, on multiplayer games, it's really not needed that much.
I do believe people are working on porting but hit a snag with getting the models to work. Someone from the nifskope dev team found a way but hasn't revealed it for a petty reason if I remember.
Yeah I think he more means in-game animations. There's cutscene animations, and then there's ingame ones with npcs. Most games these days have just stuck to the "a ba ba ba" mouth movement, but yeah I have seen them be pretty damn good in red dead 2. And I disagree with the second line. Team Fortress 2 wouldn't be near as charming if they didn't have such wide expressions in the game. Overwatch would have benefited from including them for their voice lines.
GTAO has it as well. It's pretty standard in games with humanoid models actually.
Personally, I don't think bethesda wants you picking up every single bit of rubbish everywhere. They have the "search for specific components" feature in FO4 (and i think it's in 76). I think bethesda wants you to be selective about the junk you hoard, rather than discourage you from hoarding all together. They don't want to remove negative effects from hoarding simply because of a design philosophy i guess.
Anybody got any character build plans yet? I'm really interested by the "use booze to aid downed players" perk, I'm wanting to make a mostly "medic with a pistol" build, hoping that'll play out.
It'll be good wakeup call to players who just spams E all the time. I learned very quick in FO4 not to pick everything you see.
You can place them anywhere. But not near existing locations.
Honestly at this point they should just get rid of weight restrictions all together if they're just gonna keep mitigating them like this.
It seemed that nuclear missiles targeted every backpack store in West Virginia which explains the lack of additional storage.
So correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems like the purpose of 'bulk' items for junk isn't really to save space, but rather, to actually sell them? I was curious as to why the bulk recipes required plastic, but it seems like bulking a resource is the only way you can sell it to vendors. I have an excess of steel, like 1,200 units, and I bulked a little under half and was able to sell it to a vendor for like 90 caps. Not a huge return, but pretty sure you can't sell individual resources any other way.
Really unrelated, but I like how MxR is ripping on Oxhorn's schtick now. Like, I know that isn't really that hard to do, but it's nice to have someone that doesn't speak like we're nine year olds
It's weird, despite fallout being such a popular series and with such OVERWHELMING mod support that is actually scary for anyone coming into the franchise, there really aren't a whole lot of mod and game reviewers. MxR, juicehead, oxhorn are just about the most popular ones (and brodual, for skyrim) I genuinely can't think of many others.

To be fair, in those videos he does explain what he means.
Having the mouth's move when you talk in your mic should not be too difficult as at least on the art side of things they should have the mouth shapes already from Fallout 4.
This is pretty cool FO4 Photo Mode
Wow that's actually pretty good. Definitely going to be easier than having to do tfc 1 and tm everytime I want to take a pic.
are any other Brits who ordered a physical edition of 76 through GAME being told that the game's going to ship tomorrow/today (the 10th of November)? I have a feeling something similar happened with Fallout 4 a few years back so I'm not holding my hopes up, just find it weird.
even if you get it the servers won't be up.
oh it feels like an rpg alright a rocket propelled grenade destroying what dignity this ip still has
So what happens to 76 when Bethesda shuts down the servers in a few years?
Nah fam, that’s when they offload the exclusivity to Steam
Real Throwing Weapons at Fallout 4 Nexus A first for FO4: They tumble in the air, stick where you hit, pick them up or loot them off dead NPCs. Over 30 weapons, workshop targets, and new SoundFX including tomahawks, shurikens, harpoons, shoes, fidget spinners, thundersticks and more! Integrated crosshairs and slo-mo aiming (requires F4SE) make them useful medium range weapons in combat.
oh yeah, I mean, the BETA files are still on my computer anyway. but it'd be cool to have all the feelies and stuff early
Oh my god https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/108621/828b2e7c-654f-4ff8-ab84-6df2b3f54947/image.png
