If we were getting a map editor I'd hope it's a LOT more fleshed out than contracts. That said even back at Absolution I had wished you could place a new NPC and roleplay as it to teach it a pathing/routine and have that as the target, rather than a random character already present
I'd like to see two multiplayer modes - a co-op assassin mode and a 1v1 mode where the second player is the target. Coop would be really cool imo and the maps are large enough to allow for interesting experimentation. For example, one Hitman will be the bait while the other snipes from a distant rooftop, or one is a distraction to let the other sneak in. I think it could be a fun way to play. Hunting down a player target could also be a damn fun time. Give the player a variety of animations to choose from, pick different routes, etc. I dunno how they would pull that off tho cuz now that I think about it there's not much stopping the target from hiding in a large crowd where it's impossible to kill the target silently, but maybe that's where a sniper would come in.
Sierra's car is actually an NPC itself so I feeeeel like it forgot to de-spawn her car version. You can find Sierra's non-car NPC around the map sometimes before the race is over, in odd locations. They keep moving her every patch.
Somebody has discovered that if you play in offline mode, you can import your S1 save data with all the unlocks: https://www.reddit.com/r/HiTMAN/comments/ad20jo/its_actually_possible_to_import_s1_progress/ (Linked because it's a long post.) In a nutshell, it's as simple as copying your Hitman 2016 save profile and pasting it into the Hitman 2 save location. It allows access to all of the weapons you unlocked in 2016 and even the ET suits specific to that game, allowing you to wear them in H2 locations: https://i.imgur.com/aT0usQt.jpg The downside is that once you return to online mode your save is overwritten by the server and you're back to your regular H2 profile. Given how easy and convenient it is to import save data and unlocks, it begs the question of why IOI haven't implemented it themselves. The cynical part of me thinks it's to make more people buy 2016 GOTY or the Legacy pack because they really need the money. It's also strange that they're making people earn their unlocks again, and reusing several of the 2016 suit rewards for H2. H2 already has a system that rewards you with new items for completing ETs in 2016, so save imports do seem to be something within IOI's capability.
It could be a question of shaky ground for what they’re allowed to do with 2016’s server data, since much of it started on Square Enix dime and we still don’t know to what extent the data is theirs. For a similar reason Absolution’s contracts server is defunct.
I want save imports but I'm also buttmad that this comes after I spent so much time re-100%'ing everything.
aw geez
So dumb that this shit is in the game but there's not a single way to unlock it yet

Has there been any word on their expansion packs? I'm holding off on buying until I know for certain what is in them. If it isn't a brand new location I probably won't even consider it.
It's definitely confirmed that at least one new location comes in each expac. I'll try to find that answer, but iirc they said at minimum they plan for it to feature a new location, a new sniper map and beyond that as much stuff as Patient Zero.
Hamsun oil rig.
So I now own the John Wick suit? Fucking sick.
£49.99 for the HD collection, rather not, I'd only get blood money but then I could just play it on my pc lol
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oo4IriP4KgI Just a little comparison of scenes. It's a steep price considering the games are from 2006 and 2012 and can be bought literally as cheap as chips on Steam sales. I think IOI really are struggling to keep afloat.
Man, just quickly playing around with Ansel in Hitman 2, you can make some really pretty pictures with it https://i.imgur.com/fILiAYP.jpg
Pumped 27 liters of piss hours into the game since last Sunday. Mastery 20'd every level of 2016 and did most of the challenges in Hokkaido and Paris, also did the Classics. Now onto the H2 levels!
What is going on in that Yamazaki picture? How are you falling over?
Look between us, I'm hurling the briefcase.
My only wish for the briefcase is that we see return of this bad boy: https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/dd43276187bd2a65b70832e31e4bbd40.jpg It's such a nice case that I'm surprised it hasn't returned already.
Someone mentioned in the IOI thread in SH that Absolution had good graphics and a reinstalled it and checked out two areas that came to mind that stand out, the greenhouse, and library https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/58135/14a1852e-34af-44ed-9701-fe7d099eaff2/Abso.jpg
Since Hitman is generally affected when IO goes through something, it's probably pertinent to post this here.. https://twitter.com/IOInteractive/status/1085495827815170048 Furthermore, this will expand our muscles for creating brand-new and exciting endeavours, new universes, new franchises. In other words So I guess besides helping out with Hitman, they're probably working on something new beyond Hitman i hope. I can only hope this turns out well.
surely this means they arent in dire financial straits (from 2's sales) to be opening up a new studio?
That right now is up in the air, since last I checked Hitman 2's Physical release was down 90%. Of course this was around Nov ( the month of release), they're also figures from the UK, and the article doesn't consider digital sales. Keep in mind of course that the tail end of 2018 was busy in terms of things releases. Beyond Hitman 2, there was.. Red Dead Redemption 2 Assassins Creed Odyssey COD Black Ops 4 Fallout 76 Battlefield V Artifact Spyro Etc.. I'm surprised myself that I managed to get Hitman 2 as I did, before it released. Source : Pokmon and Spyro top hyper competitive week at UK games retail ..
freedom fighters remaster or just a sequel please.
Let me stop you right there because I see people keep bringing up this stat all the time, take it at face value and then panic about it Hitman 2 had a fraction of the budget and very little marketing being done in comparison to the huge marketing campaing that absolution had. Physical sales are much more affected by traditional marketing (tv ads etc.) compared to digital sales, not to mention 2012 was a while ago and physical sales have been constantly going down in favor of digital. In fact when you when you look at digital sales, you start to see a different pattern emerge: (source is steamcharts/steamspy, you can look it up yourself) HITMAN: Absolution - Owners: 2,000,000 .. 5,000,000 - All-time peak concurrent players: 26,039 HITMAN 2 - Owners: 5,000,000 .. 10,000,000 - All-time peak concurrent players: 356,867 In a nutshell that "90% down" statistic doesn't mean squat
It was also 90% down in Britain after two weeks, Red Dead Redemption 2 had come out only two weeks prior to Hitman coming out and that's a massive game.
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DxcYA5AW0AAl8KD.jpg:small HITMAN 2 – Game Update 2.13 The next significant game update for HITMAN 2 has arrived and outlines our commitment to new content, improvements and community feedback. To start, we have brand new content with the addition of a new Seasonal Event and we’re releasing the first content for the HITMAN 2: Expansion Pass. As with all of our game updates, we’re also making a whole host of improvements across the board, many of which have been requested by our community.  https://www.ioi.dk/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/Item_Overview_square-1024x1024.png
Neat unlock, but another limited time event? Boooo hisssss.
They probably mean it's the first thing of all of the content coming up in expansion 1 and the expansion pass in general. Here's hoping they will actually include some substantial gameplay content like new locations for both main and sniper assassin tho instead of mostly cosmetic stuff.
