just played the new ET, i picked my way into the main kitchen area as soon as i started, and the target got halfway detection and followed me into a bathroom. i knocked her out because her bodyguard didn't actually follow her into the room, and tried killing her to see if i was lucky. that's how i killed the ET in under 40 seconds lol oops
I started throwing shit in the garage to lure the guards there, but the ET decided to visit instead of her guard and she noticed me so I just closed the door and shot her in the face.

i guess you kind of have to make the targets more exaggerated when you only see them from far away, that way they stand out more. Would be interesting if some modder could make them at least partially explorable on foot.

Completely forgot I still had to pay $40 for the expansion pass on top of the $60 for the base game. Guess I'll wait since it's not worth it just for a sniper map.
Picked up 1 and 2 of this on the deal on Steam, I really felt super smart on Sapienza and then I left the mission and it said I'd gotten 6/48 for the level entirely. God damn this is some replayability.
Not big news, but Absolution is now on GOG for sale at $5. Check it out if you have an inkling interest in the game and if you want to support a good storefront.
Absolution, not the greatest Hitman game, but a good cover shoot 'em up none the less.
Launched up the game for the first time in a few weeks and it's running very smoothly, even smoother than when Denuvo was removed. I can't see anything to indicate why in the patch notes, so it's a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one.
They've recently added support for DX12, and for some reason, DX11 got an increase in preformance on my end as well, so that might apply for you too?
Oh thanks, probably. I thought the DX12 stuff wouldn't apply to me but if they've silently improved DX11 support then happy days. I haven't played too much of it yet but it looks like I've jumped a solid 10-20fps in most areas.

Managed to get Silent Assassin on Showstopper today, my first 5 star rating too. Drowned both of them in the toilet and ran away out the kitchen feeling very clever.
5-star rating is Silent Assassin. If you do everything perfectly but have 1 body found or whatever it'll disqualify Silent Assassin and cap you at 4 stars.
always found that level to be the hardest for me to silent assassin (aside from the Jordan Cross level which i just personally hate)
I have no idea why honestly, stealth games are my thing and i have no problems with any of the other levels in season 1
the same thing happens with Curtains Down in blood money, the only stage in the entire series that i haven't silent assassin'd and i have no idea why, someone save me from this torture
thats cuz curtains down kinda sucks and the most reliable SA method I found means waiting for like 5 minutes staring at people moan
Curtains Down is one of my favourite levels in that game, I love the atmosphere. If I recall correctly you can get an easy SA by swapping the actor's fake gun with the real gun, and placing a bomb above the chandelier for when the other target runs down to the stage.
