Hm. Okay, yeah, shortest I've done is ~7 minutes but I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed. I'd like to see a video of that time.
There's been changes in other levels, but Colorado is still mostly purple
Sapienza is a bit dark
As of this post the current consensus is that 2018 is better, 8 votes to 2. Why did IOI remodel the suit though? Aesthetic changes aside the newer version has objectively worse textures and is missing details like shadows on the shirt and creasing on the sleeves.
Read "birth of the hitman" to get the backstory on who he is and how deep their relationship goes. It was released a few months before the game.
I just want a suppressed sniper but I'm so bad at finding challenges on the final mission. Kill meeee
The power of the internet. You're officially part of the Hitman Franchise in some way.
I wonder if IO will reference it in future content.
They referenced fan stuff in the last game.
it feels so good, man. I have loved all the comments on the post about people laughing so hard they picked up the game, but this is the topper on the cake. I was going to be happy with some random dev using his personal twitter to say something about it, but actual promotional material?
amazing
It's incredible to see IOI suddenly have a good promo and comms approach since HITMAN 2016, when for their entire history they were known for the worst, pointlessly offensive PR backfires imaginable.
could you elaborate in spoiler tags?
We can just forget Absolution even exists to be fair. It's a perfectly fine shooter with a main character that just looks like 47.
Seriously the plot of the game happens because 47 tries to garrote a man six times his size despite having a shot on his target.
And then the rootin tootin cowboy man tries to frame the Hitman, a notoriously ruthless and professional killer, for MURDER.
Don't forget the part where several people with Southern accents stand around 47's unconscious body yelling "DAS' A FUCKIN' HIT-MAN." "HITMAEYN?" "DAS' A HITMAEYN RAHT THER." for 5 minutes.
It's actually one guy who says it twice and then runs away, but sure.
God, they are gonna patch it into fucking oblivion.
Normally they're funny.
I gotta say, I'm really fucking impressed with just how well done the design is for this game. Like 2016 was good most of the way through, but in Hitman 2: 2 there hasn't been a single time so far in my 2-3 playthroughs of each level where I've needed to turn on waypoints, check for hints or anything of that sort to figure out how to trigger a sequence or do just do some cool/fun shit. I've actually completed quite a lot of challenges and mission stories just by watching, listening and exploring. Its a really impressive improvement if you just look back even to Paris in 2016, which imo had a lot of issues with just being a fair bit obtuse on how to do some of the more interesting or scripted things
Like I really, can't get over how much content every map has.
All of them. They're all crazy. How does Season 1 go from 2 really mediocre maps to every single map in 2 being an utter banger?
why do you think so?

this is a moderator from the official hitman discord

We will have one new location per expansion pack. There will be several missions though and some of them will take place in a new version of the already released maps, just like we did with the GOTY campaign.
this is fucking AWESOME
Good, we're definitely getting a Christmas version of the suburbs map, there's no way we aren't
apparently the game has worse performance than 2016 due to no dx12

this is a very good game.
I guess eats ass is too harsh. The system itself is okay and works decently for the game its in considering its designed around it, but I find the rating system far too binary in Hitman 2016 and 2: 2. I'm fine with no bodies found, no evidence, never spotted, those are fine. But something like no non-target kills is a bit much, considering it doesn't take into account even accident collateral that also kills the target. As an example, I played Whittleton Creek, I did everything right, but when Janus smoked near the oxygen tank and it exploded, his body wasn't found in the rating system because it was an accident kill, but his inseparable guard died too and I lost the SA rating because of that. I liked in Blood Money how you were allowed some collateral when using an accident to kill a target. I also liked in Hitman 2 or Contracts how SA rating had conditions of iirc 3 shots fired, or 1 civilian kill and 2 shots fired, or 1 civilian kill and 1 alert and no shots fired. I believe Blood Money also had systems for leaving weapons and your suit on the ground when leaving the level counting against SA.
I don't think they need to outright copy any of the systems or numbers or whatever else from the old games, because that wouldn't work really. However I would still like to see some leniency, exceptions or alternative conditions to get SA rating. As it stands I feel the very binary requirements for SA rating closes off a decent amount of the game's possibilities for more interesting or unique SA routes. I'm won't say interesting SA routes aren't possible, thats not true at all, but I just they could open the game to even more possibilities without sacrificing the challenge behind SA.
I mean, there's nothing stopping you from just not going for SA really, just play how you want tbh

oh don't worry I do that all the time I just want Hitman to be the very best it can be
When I realized there was an entirely second street part of the suburbs map I nearly lost it.
anyone else crashing for seemingly no reason on colombia? im about 2 hours in on a suit only run having killed rico and andre, and ill either randomly crash about a minute or so into loading a save, or right on the load screen itself. 2 hours is a lot of time to lose so this kinda sucks...
I love games that have Suburbs
Like my favourite mission of Modern Warefare 2 are the ones set in D.C.
